This is my second year living with Zuma Housing, and I’ve had a wonderful experience overall. I’ve lived in two different Zuma properties during my time at UCLA, and both experiences have been great. One thing I particularly appreciate is the support I received from Ansel throughout the housing process. My friends and I were looking for a place where we could stay together, and he was incredibly friendly, patient, and accommodating from the time we started exploring properties all the way through signing the lease. What stood out to me was the transparency throughout the process. The property was exactly as represented in the photos and during the virtual tour we received over a video call, which gave us a lot of confidence when making the decision. The other thing I’ve really appreciated is Zuma’s maintenance support. Whenever we’ve had an issue, submitting a request through the resident portal has been straightforward, and the team has consistently been quick to respond and resolve it. Having now stayed at two different Zuma properties, I’ve found them to be reliable and trustworthy, and the overall experience has made housing during my time at UCLA much easier. I would definitely recommend Zuma to UCLA students looking for housing in the area.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with this housing company! My apartment is super close to the UCLA campus, which makes the location incredibly convenient, especially as a student. My building was completed just in August, so everything is brand new, modern, and very clean. It’s located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, and the apartment itself came fully furnished and equipped, which made moving in so easy. The entire move-in process went smoothly, and I immediately felt comfortable in my new home. I’ll also attach some pictures of my room and the apartment because I really love how everything turned out! Another thing that really stands out is the maintenance service. Whenever there has been any kind of maintenance issue, it has been resolved extremely quickly, usually within a very short time. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been incredibly responsive, helpful, and accommodating. I need to add a special shout-out to Alex! Alex helped me throughout the entire housing search and application process, from finding the right apartment for me all the way through signing the lease. She was incredibly kind, courteous, and helpful, and most importantly, she was always extremely quick to respond whenever I had a question or needed assistance. Her support made the whole process so much easier and stress-free. Overall, I feel very comfortable here and am really happy with my apartment and the entire experience. I would definitely recommend this housing company to anyone looking for a modern, fully furnished place close to UCLA!

Last summer, I stayed in one of Zuma Housing’s shared apartments for a month during a research visit to Los Angeles. Zuma Housing was among the accommodation options recommended by my host institution. I contacted them directly, and Janber, the short-term-stay coordinator, reached out to assist me. Throughout the process, he answered my questions and guided me in finding a suitable room. I finalized the booking through Airbnb. Although the rates were somewhat high, booking through a company -Zuma Housing combined with Airbnb’s platform gave me peace of mind against potential scams. Overall, my stay was positive. As a solo female traveler, I felt comfortable and well-accommodated. The apartment was as described, fully furnished, and my private room was clean, with towels, linens, and essential amenities provided. The furniture and kitchen items were good quality, though shared areas (kitchen and bathroom) were not very clean. The location is near Santa Monica Blvd. Since I did not rent a car, walking and heavy traffic made me feel a bit unsafe, especially with many unhoused people around bus stops and side walks. Zuma Housing answered quickly during working hours. My two requests were solved, though one took many messages. A practical tip for future guests: always keep your digital door codes with you -my door auto-locked once, which was stressful! Prices feel high, but that is general for LA. I think Zuma Housing provides a reliable and secure option for visiting researchers looking for housing in LA. Many thanks to Janber and the team!

I had a great experience working with Patty at Zuma Housing. She was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of finding and securing my room. Patty was responsive, professional, and made the whole experience much easier and less stressful. I really appreciated her guidance and support from start to finish. I stayed at Zuma Housing in Westwood this summer and had an amazing experience. The neighborhood was safe and convenient, with plenty of shops, supermarkets, and public transportation nearby. The accommodation was well-maintained, and any maintenance issues were handled quickly and efficiently. It was truly the best summer of my life, and staying at Zuma Housing made the experience even more special!
