Went there in September 2024 as an exchange student. Very cool place, I felt really safe there and around. My apartment was very cool. Shout out to Dana, the loft manager who did a really great job!

My experience with this rental company has been deeply unsatisfactory, and I want to share it so that other students and potential tenants are aware. When we first moved in, we were promised a specific unit but only found out on move-in day that we were being given a different one. Even the property manager had not properly toured the building and showed us units that were not available, creating confusion and misleading expectations. When we tried to resolve this, the company was resistant to making things right until we pushed persistently. Their eventual “solution” was limited to a deep cleaning and a small rent credit, which did not address the seriousness of the situation. As college students at the time, this felt like a clear example of how large property management companies take advantage of younger renters who may not yet be experienced with leases and tenant rights. Fast forward to move-out: the company is now attempting to charge us for damages that were already present at move-in—including wall damage and cleaning fees—despite our documentation. These charges are especially frustrating given that we never intended to move into this unit in the first place. Additionally, the company advertised security services, yet I later discovered that they had been misled by the provider. At no point did management formally make tenants aware of this issue, meaning residents were still being charged for a service that was not actually provided. Overall, my experience suggests a pattern of mismanagement, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. I strongly encourage other students and renters to exercise caution, carefully document everything, and consider alternative housing options before signing with this company.

I currently am a resident here and am very happy with my experience thus far. Management is very responsive and flexible and has been quick to help whenever we have had issues.

Village lofts has been a great place to live. Although there were some management issues, the new manager has made it her goal to efficiently process maintenance requests, be accessible to residents as she is always available during normal business hours, and has gone above and beyond to keep the place in order and resolve issues of the building such as making it more secure and protecting mailroom. A great manager goes a long way especially when most students are in college and not always sure the best way to tackle issues at hand as she is always willing to work with you. The building also offers nice amenities like study lounge, gym, and nice balconies as well!

WORST apartment i, or anyone I know, has ever lived in. starting from move in, I had paid a security deposit and was met with radio silence for a full month by the leasing agent because they had switched owners and management so many times. I almost thought I was being scammed. when I moved in, 8 repairs needed to be done and the fridge had to be replaced. the apartment hadn’t been cleaned at all and was FILTHY. after moving in, the ants came. we had an exterminator come out maybe 4 or 5 times but the problem never was fully resolved because the residents in this building don’t clean up after themselves. one of my roommates moved out unexpectedly, and it took FOUR MONTHS to switch her out on the lease. in april, two men trespassed on my balcony and damaged my property, and I bothered the management for four weeks AND FILED A POLICE REPORT only to learn the cameras around the building “didn’t work”. the management also refused to secure my balcony to prevent that from happening again so I moved out about a month later. this building has been the biggest headache and I warn everyone to STAY AWAY. terrible management and terrible ownership. I’m so glad I got out of there when I did. also I think it’s funny this building has so little reviews, makes me think they’re deleting bad ones so I wonder how long this will be up.
