I’ve had a really great experience living at this co-living property in West LA. The location is ideal — close to everything you need while still feeling like a comfortable, residential neighborhood. One of the standout features is the rooftop. It’s a great space to unwind after a long day, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the views. Whether you’re relaxing solo or spending time with housemates, it’s definitely one of the best parts of the building. The gated garage parking is also a huge plus. Having secure, convenient parking in West LA makes everyday life much easier and adds an extra layer of peace of mind. The co-living setup is thoughtfully designed with private bedrooms and well-maintained shared spaces that make it easy to enjoy both privacy and community. Overall, it’s a well-managed property in a great area — a smart option for anyone looking for comfortable co-living in West LA.

I’ve had a very good experience living at Centinela by Category Apartments. The property is clean, quiet, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels calm and safe. Management has been professional and responsive whenever I’ve needed assistance. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently, which makes living here stress-free and comfortable. The apartments are well designed, and the location is convenient while still feeling peaceful. Overall, I’m happy with my time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a well-managed co-living apartment.

I thoroughly enjoyed living in this apartment. The units are spacious, all the rooms are furnished, and reasonably priced for being at such a great location only 10 minutes from Santa Monica. Joey was super helpful with my move in process, he even helped me arrange some of my stuff when I was unable to do so alone. He was always easy to communicate with and I was comfortable reaching out with any issues or questions I had. Highly recommend the place for students, or anyone who wants to take advantage of co-living spaces while trying to save money.

I really enjoy living in this building. The apartment is spacious and modern. The fact that it was already furnished was a plus. The roof deck is a great place to hang out and enjoy the bbq. I really have to thank Joey, the property manager, for all his help on getting me in this spot. His professionalism and service made moving into the building quick and easy.

Do not live here. I had a very unpleasant experience living here. First, the front tire of my bike was stolen from the apartment garage. The vertical bike racks available in the garage prohibited the use of a large U-shaped locked around the bike and front tire, resulting in my stolen tire as well as other fully stolen bikes and tires. I reported the theft to management and received no compensation or action towards finding the thief (even though I was not the only victim of theft). Fearful for my property, I moved my bike to the common area in the shared apartment living space, according to management directions at that time. Management then changed, and requested that I move the bike to the garage (which I was NOT comfortable doing). I was in active communication with management about a storage solution for the bike when one morning, unannounced, a person from management came to confiscate my bike. My roommate saved the bike from being taken away. Management then assured me that they had recently fortified garage security and that my bike would be safe there. After this promise from management, my roommate had HIS bike stolen from the apartment garage. In addition, our apartment unit also had a dangerous roommate situation which was BRUSHED over by management. A tenant moved in who backed my other roommate up against a way and verbally abused her. This same roommate also used my bathroom (after I requested he didn't) for about 3 months (had stuff in my shower, etc.) and tampered with my bathroom such that my things were flooded. He also threw things at another roommate, yelled at us, and refused to compromise on a single thing. Management did little to nothing, claiming that this roommate just did not understand the female perspective. Both myself and my other female roommate moved in with our friends to avoid being around this aggressor. We made this clear to management, and they did nothing. It took physical violence (a full-blown fist fight) between the aggressive roommate and another male roommate for management to take notice- even though we had been cataloging and reporting the aggressive roommate's actions to them for months. On top of ALL of this, the billing for utilities was NEVER properly explained, and new roommates into your unit were never announced. Do not live here.
