Midtown Apartments, lexington-ky

My daughter moved into Midwest Communities In Lexington, KY. She is a grad student and has several friends there. We got the pleasure of working with Boyd Wells who was so helpful, kind and professional. The moving process was very smooth and easy. Thank you Boyd!

Great place to live! Close to campus, reasonable rent, and maintenance is very responsive. Management is also amazing to work with, especially Julia Field and Boyd Wells. They are always quick to respond and resolve any issues you may be having.

I have had a fantastic experience at Midtown. The location is super convenient, appliances are nice, and the space is well-maintained. The leasing office staff are spectacular. Boyd, Dominique, Julia, Mackenzie, and Michael really care about making sure the residents are taken care of. And they are very friendly too.

I’ve had a great experience with Midtown Apartments. The service has been exceptional, and Sophie was incredibly helpful throughout the leasing process. She was responsive, knowledgeable, and made everything easy from start to finish.

My fiancée and I had lived in Midtown for 2 years due to proximity to Campus. Needless to say the experience from this facility was horrific from beginning to end. ***if you don’t read any of the rest, read this.*** Please just do yourself a favor and stay away from Anderson communities. It will be a nightmare from the start and there will always be disappointment when it’s time to pay rent. - A consistent smell of marijuana despite reaching out to the front office to do something about re-enforcing the no smoking policy. As well as enforcing the pet policy and not doing anything about disruptive neighbors with aggressive dogs. - We had a maintenance man go into the home for normal checkups. And a short time later AFTER COMPLETING the check ups and sending us notice of completion he came back to the home only to be face to face with the dog we let out bc the work was ‘complete’ - we went through an ice/snow storm in 2024 in which left 8 in of snow and 1/2 inch of ice and they REFUSED to treat any of the upper parking lots despite complaints made to the front office. -flash forward to 2025 and the same thing happens, snow and ice, complaints made. Nothing, for days. No plow, no salt, nothing. Give it another 3 day and call the property manager Julia “well, we don’t know what’s going on up there until people complain” and then unironically maintenance made their way out that day with a bulldozer to clear a sidewalk only to shove all the ice into the parking spots (leading to the next point) - removal of guest parking. This facility increased the rent and made not one noticeable change or improvement to guest living in the 2 year we were there. (I think they added some treadmills in the last month and called it an upgrade) and yet if you live in the Burley Apt area. Your guest will have to either park on a narrow already down to one lane street or in a guest parking spots about 1/2 mile away from the building and walk up a hill to get to the building OR risk being towed at their own expense. - upon move out when doing the walk through, they noted that three of the grease trays needed to be swapped and charged us for that. THEIR OWN MAINTENANCE TEAM SWAPPED THEM. A work order was put in for new drip trays. They swapped the three and the we were charged on move out because they did not match. As well as a charge for the inside of the oven looking dirty. The list could go on but I’ll hit the character limit. This was and is by far the worst renting experience I had ever been a part of in the four different communities I had lived in. Julia - the property manager is by far the least involved and is absolutely the most hated person within the community due to unreliability and lack of accountability she holds of herself her staff and of her property.
