Overall, my housing experience with Hardin Properties was disappointing. Although the location was great, the house itself was rundown when we moved in and had not been cleaned properly — the toilet was in disgusting condition, which set the tone for the lease. While I will say that the maintenance team was responsive and did a good job when we submitted requests, the real issues came after moving out. We were wrongly accused of not paying rent and of damages that we did not cause and threatened to take the money out of our roommates’ security deposits. On top of that, they attempted to charge us an unreasonable amount for refrigerator drawers and refused to provide any documentation until we repeatedly asked. The process surrounding our security deposit was handled with very little transparency, making it unclear what we were actually getting back and why. We were also charged a carpet overage when we didn’t have a single piece of carpet in our home. For future tenants, I would strongly caution against renting with Hardin Properties. The lack of cleanliness, accountability, and honesty made what could have been a good experience very frustrating in the end. If you do rent with them, ensure you document everything upon move in and report every issue throughout your lease, even if you can fix it yourself or it’s not an inconvenience. Protect yourself.

I have lived at one of Hardin Properties for the past two years. It was a great experience. Hardin’s whole staff was great. Whenever we had a problem we would submit a request on the portal and someone would be over within an hour or right away the next day. They would be over on football home games and were always so pleasant and great to talk to. They were also always understanding and extremely organized with their properties. I would highly recommend leasing from them they made it a great experience.

I did have a great time living in the senior college house & Hardin did do a good job with maintenance requests in a timely manner and were very kind to us. However, only 3 stars for the way they nickel and dimed myself and my roommates. If you aren’t willing to throw a bunch of money, don’t rent from here. It was the most expensive place I’ve lived in during college and don’t expect to get ur full security deposit back. Anyways, great people and I have no regrets other than my bank account

I lived at Hardin properties in 2019, and it was a terrible experience. There was evident water damage in the basement when we moved in (where two bedrooms were located). The basement then flooded 3-4 times during our 1 year lease in which Craig responded that had never happened before. Our home was then broken into twice during our stay. Once through a window, the next the whole door was torn off and everything in our house had been sorted through. When a call was made on a sunday morning regarding the break-in, Hardin responded saying "there was nothing they could do". No increased security (our front door was broken the whole year), no apology, nothing. After multiple phone calls, maintenance would show up at an unprofessional times (9:30pm). When I was the only one living there in the summer, Hardin would come into my house unannounced to make "repairs" that we asked to be made 6 months prior. The list goes on. I never was going to write them a review, however, it will be 3 years in the fall since I have lived there and I have still not been returned a 3 figure credit that is owed to me. This is a horrible establishment.

We had a great rental experience with Hardin properties. The Resident portal allowed for instant communication and online rent payments. Maintenance requests were answered and addressed very quickly.
