Naismith Hall, lawrence-ks

Naismith Hall has been an amazing place to live so far. The staff is extremely helpful and the food is always great. There’s a great atmosphere and all of the facilities especially the gym are well taken care of. As a car guy, I really appreciate the parking lot alongside the overflow lot because you’re always able to find a corner space. Overall such an amazing living place for any student of KU!

Aside from construction issues, which are mostly out of the staffs control, this is easily the best value place to live on campus. The food is amazing, staff are friendly and easy to find during normal business hours. Weekly cleaning service, GREAT study spaces, fun weekly events, and an overall great community to live in. Newly renovated rooms have great flooring, ample closet space, and come with a mini fridge and microwave. I would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect mix between apartment and dorm. Can be as independent or community oriented as you desire.

Dori gave us an hour of her time with a thorough tour, paperwork… everything was amazing! She lives in the dorm so her experience was feedback was genuine. Seems an outstanding housing option. While down the hill from campus buildings it’s close to the practice facilities for cheerleaders. If my son attends as a freshman and makes co-ed team it seems a wonderful option!

The cleaning staff is good. The building never seems dirty and is kept up well. The cafeteria has a decent variety of good food. Building in general is very nice, and there are a lot of comfortable places to hang out and study. My only complaint is that during when it was warm the swimming pool seemed to be closed over half of the time. Overall good dorm.

Living at Naismith as both a resident and an RA has been fantastic! The amount of people that I have been fortunate to know through this dorm is amazing. It's a great environment to live, learn and grow in as students head off to college. The food is great for being in a dorm and there are always so many options in the dining hall. The staff is amazing; from the managers, the desk assistants, the maintenance crew, and the house cleaning staff, everybody is always considerate and helpful. Additionally, it has prime real estate right next to campus, the rec center, Allen Field House, the new School of Business building and easy bus access to campus. It's an amazing and fun place to live during college.
