Do NOT live here. It is the absolute last resort you should take when choosing an apartment to stay near UNLV. 1. Roach infested. I dealt with multiple roaches a day at my first apartment at the Legacy, switched units, and they came again. Just not as often. I made sure to consistently clean the apartment, not leave food out, moisture, etc, put in various maintenance requests, they do not take it seriously. 2. The apartments are not taken care of, and dirty. Carpet was never washed when moving in, dust, broken lights, peeling paint, literal holes in the shower. Floors are extremely loud and creaky. The area is loud, ghetto, and unsafe. 3. The gate is almost always broken. I pay more for the gate just for it to never work. The area has homeless people. 4. Maintenance is awful. A year ago my AC broke and maintenance gaslight me multiple times that it “wasn’t” broken or I was “causing it to break.” I had to start documenting every time the AC broke when staff would come in to fix it then it would immediately break after. They would take the AC unit out of my room when they would “fix” the AC in the apartment, even after I would beg them not to. Because I knew the AC was just going to break again. I started getting migraines and feeling nauseous when my apartment would reach over 129°, which is a health hazard, and it was over 105° outside. This went on for weeks. Maintenance blamed me when I kept turning down the AC when the apartment would reach over 120° because I couldn’t handle the heat, and even threatened to charge me for pieces until I had to document everytime the AC would break, cry to them, and show I was not moving the fan off auto. This should have never happened. They also come in unannounced, one time barged into my room with dirty shoes on the carpet without knocking while I was sleeping. One of the blonde maintenance members was extremely rude and gave lots of attitude.

In an invisible way you have great power, where within one hour of sending the lease agreement and completing the signing, you just send a message that I was too late to sign the agreement and increase the rent. The quote of first come first serve is just a blindfold of you. This is not the first time and not only with me but with so many this has happened. Even being associated with UNLV, you are fully an inconsiderate leasing property who are inconsiderate of students’ financial condition.

I am the current resident in Legacy. It is a nice apartment, quiet and close to UNLV campus. Not too many equipment but comfortable. If you are looking for a cheap and high quality apartment, here is a good choice. If you are looking for a resort style apartment, maybe not your first choice.

Notice how most of the 5 star reviews include no words and have names that look like they came from a random name generator? And how many of them only have one review on their account? And of the ones that do have words, they're very similar? Anyways, This is 5/5 the worst place I've ever lived. Don't know what was worse though, the room falling apart around me, the bugs, the always breaking and overpriced dryer and washer, the roommate roulette, the lack of security, the bait and switch from the show apartment to the actual apartment, or the rude attitudes of the lazy staff. Good luck maintaining your sanity as power issues arise, someone walks into your apartment (they're really bad at giving you notice), trying to cover holes that they missed, or finding holes that they painted over using a paper as a way to seal the hole. You can find the handy work of the "Landlord Special" as you look around the overly painted walls and find rocks, bugs, etc trapped in the paint. Cockroaches come out of the shower drain occasionally, have fun with that. You can ask for help from the office but the vibe is very "OMG HOW DARE YOU CALL US AND ASK US TO DO OUR JOB :'(". My rating is as follows: Misery: ★★★★★ Loudness: ★★★★★ Cockroaches: ★★★★★ Power Outages: ★★★★★ Unhelpful Staff: ★★★★★ Non-working Washer & Dryer: ★★★★★ Random Roommate generator: ★★★★★ Entering without notice: ★★★★★ Painted over bugs: ★★★★★ Holes and cracks: ★★★★★ Worst place to live on campus: ★★★★★ This is 5/5 the worst place to live on campus, possibly the worst place to live east of the strip.

The gate is always open, which creates a safety and security concern. It defeats the purpose of living in a gated community. Management should fix this issue.
