I have lived here throughout my college career and have been pleased since. It’s a fantastic area with food places nearby, within walking distance of Girard Park, and with an unmatched distance to the campus, a stellar option! Super friendly maintenance team and management. Anytime an issue occurs, which is rarely, its taken care of quickly!

We are so happy we chose Genesis for my daughter & her room mate! We were afraid, from prior reviews, that the apartment would not meet the beauty of the model unit we viewed on our tour. On the contrary! The apartment is gorgeous & spacious! Looks to be all redone, with brand new appliances. The blinds & cabinetry are high end. Even though the apartment is on 3rd floor, the stairwell is easy to climb & move up furniture. The outside is freshly painted, the pool is lovely, & there is a bridge crossing straight on to ULL campus. 5 stars for the easy checkin & quick online lease signing & rent paying portal! i stayed at genesis from January of 2025 to July 2025 and it was terrible. The AC/Heat barely worked and the Wifi didn’t for the majority of the time i stayed there. During the last month I was there termites fell out of the ceiling on to my bed. They I called the emergency maintenance and took over an hour for them to get there. all he did was taped the holes they fell from and gave me wasp spray. i had to book a hotel and throw away all my bedding and they didn’t even reimburse me for either

I had bad experience while transferring the lease. They put minimum effort to screen the new tenants application, and make the lease takeover delayed.

The buildings are old, poorly maintained, and often dirty. When something breaks, management is extremely slow and inefficient in fixing it. Another major issue is the persistent bad smell in the building, especially on rainy days, which is a big problem since Lafayette has frequent rain. Overall, the lack of maintenance, poor management, and unpleasant living conditions make this place very frustrating to live in.
