I was told by prior management in 2019 that I'd be able to bring my cat. I signed the lease with them, but I was told when the lease started that management had switched, and that this was no longer allowed. After a month of back and forth, I was able to bring my cat to my apartment despite there being multiple apartments with more than one cat, and a dog in the apartment under me. I have kept record of all communications between myself and housing, and I can tell you that there were numerous times where we were told one thing prior to signing and later told something completely different. I was even advised by the University to contact Judy Schwank for options and to push for legal action during the pandemic; I'd signed my lease for Fall 2020 in January and had not occupied the apartment as of March when quarantine had started. My guarantor was laid off, and I was no longer eligible for loans (the main source of payment for my education and housing), but I was told I could not exit my lease (as they are not affiliated with the school, and it is a legally binding contract). I was at the point of having to drop out of school to afford my rent for the Fall 2020 semester, and obviously I was not financially able to get a lawyer. Luckily, I was able to find someone to takeover my lease (not without the stipulation of me owing 1/5 of the lease despite them also keeping my security deposit and collecting these same fees from the new tenant). I suggest contacting more than one person with any questions or concerns to make sure you are getting the correct information, keep records of any and all communication, and do not expect to be worked with beyond your lease terms. While a legally binding contract is so, a pandemic is an unprecedented and world changing phenomenon that no one could have predicted, and this experience has shown me that this is a company / corporation with no consideration for the livelihood of the students they serve. I boasted about their secure building, parking, 24/7 maintenance, the layout, laundry on site, etc, but these experiences with management made all of it feel worthless.

I lived here for 2 years and LOVED it. Though it is pricey, it is 1000% worth it. Always clean and management is fantastic. They respond almost immediately and are great people. Very rarely did I have any issues.

Isaiah was a HUGE help as I began this arduous process at the speed of light. Went above and beyond!

Noisy kids throw trash everywhere and treats town residents poorly.
