Terrible management, not understanding at all, rude, and quite frankly don’t care. If you need to move out for an emergency reason, such as mine, you can’t just end your lease, you have to continue paying until your lease is finished. They say it’s student living, but don’t care about the wellbeing of the students that live there. You’re paying a ton to live in an apartment with other people, paper-thin walls, some bedrooms have windows that face walls so there isn’t any natural light, super small bedrooms, cheap furniture, cheap appliances, and everything is just cheaply made and you can tell this building was rushed to be built. I also had several packages that THEY LOST? Worst living experience I have ever had, please live anywhere but at the TENN.

Okay, a few things! My daughter has lived here for 2 years and she’s loved it! The apartment is very spacious and honestly THE BEST LOCATION! She had a few issues and maintenance handled it immediately! It’s expensive, yes but so are the others! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 ⭐️ is because they are a bit greedy with parking! It’s $215/month which is CRIMINAL! Her rent went down $100/month so I compromised internally and let that make sense to me! Only real negative to me!

Teeny tiny rooms. Room renderings are misleading. Drawings give impression of rooms being bigger than they truly are. Rooms are tiny. You can’t even walk in front of your bed or have a place for the dresser for TV. Not really great to have the TV on the ground. Very misleading website filled with rooms and furniture that don’t match up to actual sizes of rooms. Such poor planning on the builder’s part.

I lived in the Tenn for the past two years, and I am beyond glad I moved out. This place has genuinely gone to crap. The management has no care whatsoever for any of their residents or families. They are literally SO RUDE and are no help at all. All they care about is ripping everyone off with parking and rent, because no way in hell should this place be as expensive as it is. The apartments themselves all are out of date and gross. Most of my friends have black mold issues as well as bug problems (roaches, ants, flies, etc.). Not to mention the amenities suck. The pool is tiny, literally a joke, and they won't even open it until everyone is gone for summer break. Meanwhile, you have new apartments on the Strip renting at the same price with WAY nicer amenities. Everyone I know that is living here, or is moving out, hates it. Save yourself the time and money and move somewhere else.

My son has been living in this apartment complex this year, and to say the least, it has been an awful experience. 1. The management/maintenance staff could not care less about any issues going on within the apartment... which are a lot. There are constantly things breaking in my son's apartment. Whether it be the drain, dishwasher, fan, etc. The management staff comes across very rude when trying to resolve issues face to face. 2. PACKAGES. This is a known issue in the Tenn. They just leave packages out in the lobby for whoever to take them, and as I will soon mention, they have been having problems with homeless individuals breaking in, who could then take these packages. There have been a multitude of occasions where my son's or his friends packages have gone missing, or have been stolen. And the Tenn doesn't care one bit. 3. As said before, recently there has been many break-ins of homeless individuals sleeping in general areas of the complex. This is extremely unsafe. Not to mention, the parking garage door (that is supposed to be locked at all times) has been broken for months. There have been sightings of non-residents entering this garage, shining flashlights, and potentially messing with student's cars. The Tenn has done nothing to fix this garage or install cameras in the garage to help with this issue. 4. The rooms are tiny. Very misleading on the website. We are paying an absurd amount of money for this tiny rooms. But where it gets to be outrageous is if your child wants to resign and move rooms within the complex, the Tenn considers them a new tenant... making them pay the new, ridiculous price of $1500, when the current rate is $1100. If the tenant is already living here, and not to mention already paying a fee to move rooms, why would you make them pay the new rental price? With this in mind, I would NEVER recommended paying $1500 for this apartment. It is run down, and has an immense amount of issues. Rent in Knoxville is a whole separate issue, but if you are willing to pay $1500, I would recommend one of the new apartment buildings on Cumberland. 5. Last but not least, parking. My son did not receive a parking pass this year from the complex, because they don't have enough spaces for each resident... The Tenn was completely unhelpful during this process in the summer and basically told us to just "figure it out". There's a parking lot next to the Tenn that costs $225 a MONTH! And the University doesn't allow students who aren't living on campus to buy a parking pass. This left us in a extremely frustrating situation. Not to mention, this year parking was only $80, and next year it is $200. With all of this issues going on in the garage, $200 is not even close to being worth it. My son mentions that people are constantly parking in other's spots, and it's a circus in there. All in all, I would completely avoid this apartment complex if you can. These issues are very concerning, and it feels as if management and workers could care less about any of them. Save your time and MONEY and do not rent here, because your child will thank you.
