Paloma Kent, kent-oh

This apartment complex is by far the worst place to rent in the Kent area. Their building is disgusting and the staff is horrendous. Their floors are never clean. They also spend a ton of money to repaint their stairwell whenever there were other important needs. The elevator is always broken. The lock from the garage to the building is always unlocked and I feel very unsafe. Another reason why I hate this place is that packages always get stolen. I had several stolen and the office staff didn’t do anything about it. The parking here is terrible, they make it such a big hassle. If I bring a different vehicle for a few days then I can’t use my current parking pass which is in the garage and instead I have to park somewhere outside. This is inconvenient especially during the winter times. Paloma also does fine everyone for the dumbest and smallest things. Their laundry appliances are terrible due to the fact that they don’t dry a load in a single run. It takes multiple times to dry the load. The fire alarms are ALWAYS going off. The thing that I HATE the most about this place is the staff. They are all ran by college kids who don’t care for their tenants. They are extremely rude to people. Especially to people who are locked out and needs assistance. They just want to steal your money. Very unprofessional. I would give this place a ZERO if I could because of how bad this place is. DON’T LIVE HERE.

I had an issue with my mailbox recently, and I really appreciate the help I received. Gino was extremely patient, kind, and took the time to make sure everything was resolved properly. He made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Overall, I’m very happy with the service. The leasing management team was also professional and responsive. Great experience!

This is definitely not a place I would have my daughter live again. When she moved in, she did a move-in check list and reported that the sofa was stained. They said that they were most likely going to replace it but never did after several inquiries. They never ended up replacing the sofa. They didn't even offer to clean it. It was disgusting. Another issue she had was when they came in to do an inspection. They notified the tenants that it would be done over spring break, but they never got to her unit. The day that they decided to do it, they knocked on the exterior door and proceeded to come in when no one answered it. They went into her bedroom. She was sleeping and was confused when they woke her up, but they continued coming in so they could inspect the bathroom. This was unacceptable. When I complained about it, there was no apology. There were many reasons that they should have turned around and left but decided not to. Also, the hallways and elevators were always filthy. The lock on the exterior door to the garage was not operable for an unreasonable amount of time so anyone could have walked into this "secured" building. In addition, the parking situation is horrible...overpriced and not conducive to having guests. The price we paid was not worth it. They acted like they were doing us a favor renting to her for some reason.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with the team at Paloma Kent Apartments multiple times while responding to emergency maintenance and repair situations, and Brittany and her staff have always been fantastic to work with. Their communication, professionalism, and responsiveness stand out, which makes a huge difference when urgent issues need to be handled quickly. The Paloma Kent apartment community itself is very well maintained and has a welcoming atmosphere. The grounds and buildings are attractive, the property is kept clean, and the amenities and common areas are clearly well cared for. What really stands out is the management team. Brittany and her staff are friendly, organized, and clearly committed to providing a great living experience for residents while also working well with vendors and contractors. Every interaction we’ve had with the team has been positive. If you’re looking for apartments in Kent, Ohio, Paloma Kent is a well-run community with a great staff behind it.

Unfortunately I needed an application fee reimbursed and Paloma was very professional and promptly got my reimbursement out in the mail to me. Not every business would do this and I was very appreciative of their understanding of our situation. Great customer service!
