I’ve spent a lot of time at The West Apartments and pool, and I’ve had both good and bad experiences there. Overall, I really like the community and the people. If you’re in college—especially involved in Greek life—and want an easy way to meet people and stay social, this is definitely a great place to live. That said, it can get pretty loud on weekends, and the property can sometimes be messy because of all the students living there. Some of the cottages and apartments are actually really nice, especially if they’re decorated well and kept up. However, the frat houses and the areas around them tend to be louder, dirtier, and more chaotic. I came for the pool open house party today and had an amazing time. James and Jalen at the grill and raffle were super nice and helpful. The girl at the check in station also so sweet !! Overall, The West is a fun and social place to live if you enjoy being around other students and don’t mind some noise and weekend messiness.

We stopped by West 22 for a walk-in tour and were genuinely impressed from the moment we arrived. Taylor was absolutely amazing - knowledgeable, energetic, welcoming, and so helpful throughout the entire process. She made us feel comfortable right away and answered every question thoroughly without ever making us feel rushed. The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The grounds were clean, the apartment layouts were spacious and thoughtfully designed, and the entire community had such a friendly and positive atmosphere. Everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming, which made an already great experience even better. After touring several places, West 22 truly stood out, and our children ultimately decided to sign their lease here to attend Kennesaw State University this fall. We are excited for them and feel confident they’ll have a wonderful experience living here. Highly recommend touring this community if you are looking for student housing near KSU!

Don’t stay here, and here’s a detailed reason why: I lived at West 22 for the full leasing period in the 1700 building, which is located all the way in the back of the complex. While I was initially excited to live here, I ultimately decided not to renew my lease due to a number of ongoing issues, most notably, the so-called “Valet Trash Service.” One of my biggest frustrations was how this service was falsely advertised. At the beginning of the lease, trash was picked up fairly consistently and on time. But as the year went on, the service declined significantly. Imagine this: it's a hot summer day, you leave your properly bagged trash in the designated spot following all the guidelines, then go out of town for a few days. You return nearly a week later, and your trash is still sitting there now, reeking, swarming with bugs, and baking in the sun. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a one-time thing. It happened more than once. When I contacted the office about it, I was told to take my own trash to the dump. If I have to do that, why am I being charged a fee every month? Another major issue was the layout and quality of Room A. When I first planned to live at West 22, one of my roommates was very clear that she didn’t want to be placed in Room A. Since she and another roommate found the apartment first, I agreed to take that room and contacted West 22 to finalize the change. In hindsight, it was obvious she knew what she was avoiding because Room A is, by far, the worst room in the unit. Although floor plans may suggest otherwise, the room feels significantly smaller than the others. It’s located directly next to the front door, which slams loudly throughout the day. I had to ask my roommates several times to please stop letting it slam. It's also right next to the kitchen, and on the same wall as the washer, dryer, HVAC system, Wi-Fi router, and shockingly the fuse box. Why is a fuse box located inside someone’s bedroom? Anytime we had a power issue, my roommates would text me to go flip the breaker. It was frustrating and invasive. Another issue worth pointing out: the entry gates are almost always broken. While this may not be the management’s direct fault, it’s still a huge problem that reflects poorly on the complex. West 22 houses a large number of fraternity and sorority members, so as you can probably imagine, it comes with loud music, constant partying, and an overall disruptive environment, especially during the first few weeks of the semester. You’ve been warned. But what truly left a bad taste in my mouth was move-out. We were instructed to be out by June 24th. I moved out by June 25th, but the elevator in my building broke the week before move-out, and I lived on the 4th floor. I reached out by phone and email to ask if any accommodations could be made, and this was the exact response I received: "We are sorry about the inconvenience, but in the meantime, please feel free to utilize the stairs on each side of the building for the time being." Like... no duh. That response wasn’t just unhelpful, it was dismissive. I’ve never paid rent late, never caused problems, and this was how my time at West 22 ended. They also refused to schedule a move-out walkthrough, even though they claimed to have availability for it. If you enjoy paying for services that aren’t delivered, dealing with constant noise, trash build-up, maintenance issues, and poor communication, West 22 might be the place for you. Otherwise, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Also, the photos taken of the "Valet Trash" were taken on the first floor in front of the elevator.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. If I could put 0 stars I would. The only reason there are so many positive reviews are because they do giveaways that require you to leave one. I have lived here for 3 years and have been just utterly disappointed. The maintenance does not do anything at all. The rent is ridiculous for such a cheaply made and kept place. We were out of AC for an entire month with our place being 85+ degrees even getting up to above 90, and the only time they actually did something to fix it was after we threatened to sue. THEN. My cottage was broken into not once but TWICE. The first time we brought it to the offices attention and they practically laughed in our face and did absolutely nothing to make us feel safer. Then we got broken into a second time!! After attempting to break the lease because we felt unsafe, they had to move it to regional, and they eventually denied our request. I don’t want to live here because it is unsafe!! I cannot sleep because I am terrified someone is going to walk into my house and kill me!!! They have a “security guard” but when 10 cop cars were at my cottage he was nowhere to be seen. Overall I am just exhausted. The staff is never friendly, their maintenance is horrible, and their amenities are sub par. If you are looking for a place to live while going to KSU, especially as a woman, do NOT live here.

My experience has been nothing short of a great time. It couldn’t have happened without Taylor, she’s such a kind force when you walk in the office and helpful. She showed me patience whenever I called about questions and excellent work ethic.
