First moved in, things kept breaking & had to put in multiple maintenance orders. Throughout my 2 year stay here, they got bought out by a different managing company & started adding more bills & addendums to the lease agreement AFTER you already signed it without asking for further consent from you. Told us they would start charging for utilities, valet trash, towing, gate tags, etc. Went to move out, was always told misinformation verbally, then when I needed information they told me I was wrong & what I heard was incorrect when they were the ones that told me this information in the first place. Went to move out, didn’t have to fill any of the holes because they weren’t bigger than a dime size, did it anyways to be NICE & did their job FOR THEM ONLY TO BE CHARGED $50 for a partial paint because I filled holes & didn’t ask 48 hours in advance for paint because it’s my fault they’re understaffed & underprepared apparently. Plus, they didn’t tell me I had to ask when I verbally had a conversation with them months before move out. Yet when I asked this verbally I wasn’t told to ask 48 hours in advance???? That’s literally a full can of paint! Look at these pictures, do you honestly think that needs a whole can of paint??? Oh & they can’t make up their mind on whether or not to charge you for a SINGLE TOILET PAPER ROLL; left it in my apartment for the next person to have & other residents who moved out said they got charged for NOT LEAVING a toilet paper roll. So I left mine, & still got charged. Also, asked about a damaged gate tag verbally, if I could replace it months before move out, & was told verbally that I could turn it in damaged & not be charged as it still worked perfectly fine. The gate tags they buy are cheap & break if you move it even slightly on your rearview mirror. Low & behold, I’m having to be charged $50 for a $20 gate tag. They gaslight you, scam you of your money & change policy & a lease agreement underneath your nose. Pretty sure this is not legal. Worst apartment ever, you'd be better off going to Republic

I genuinely like living at The Grove, but the "management" (quote unquote) needs serious work. Recently, I spoke with a manager named Jasmine (the name she gave me) about my lease renewal. From the start, she was rude and dismissive. Every time I tried to ask a question or get full information about my renewal, she kept interrupting me. Her attitude made a routine conversation unnecessarily stressful. As a resident who wants to renew my lease, I expected basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, I was treated poorly by someone who represents your management team. If The Grove wants to keep good residents, I strongly suggest retraining your staff on communication and respect. Great property, disappointing service.

Place is alright, however it seems the internet service providers are completely useless at the grove. I've never seen a place lose internet so frequently at the first sign of bad weather, and then not be restored the same day. It's truly baffling, and the lack of communication from the front office regarding the frequent internet outages leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The unreliable internet service is the main reason I will not be renewing my lease here.

The apartment complex was okay overall, but there were several ongoing issues. There was a persistent bug problem that was frustrating to deal with, and my key/fob frequently stopped working, which was inconvenient. Communication was also an issue, as the staff often did not respond to emails in a timely manner. While the location and price may work for some, the lack of responsiveness and maintenance concerns made the experience less than ideal.

If I could rate this place negative stars I most certainly would. My roommates and I had nothing but problems since the day we moved in. They contacted us and asked if we would move in early and then on move in day the apartment wasn’t even ready for us and they waited until we showed up to move in to let us know. The inspection form crashed each and every time I tried to submit photos of damage already existing. I had to create an entire account for some pet portal (that I had to pay for) only to discover they didn’t even use it and my dog wasn’t actually registered with them even after I asked upon to move in to ensure he was set up and they told me yes. There was mold covering my roommates entire closet which they promptly bleached creating mustard gas while my roommate, my dog, and I were still in the apartment without letting us know. The maintenance people show up randomly with no warning. There’s still mold and water damage (they painted over it) in my apartment. My stove smoked constantly and the oven made weird popping sounds despite cleaning it and after putting in a maintenance form they walked in said it was grease build up and left. Upon moving out they are now trying to charge me for a “trash removal” despite the fact that I didn’t schedule a walk thru because I had interacted with my roommate to ensure I hadn’t left anything there since I haven’t lived there for six months anyway. They also completely changed the lock on our door before even giving us new keys and we’re just lucky we were there otherwise we would have been locked out for the entire weekend since the office isn’t open on weekends. Their wifi is also anything but high speed and you're lucky if it works at all. I understand it’s cheap but I still paid to live the way they handle things is completely ridiculous. The only good thing about it was being able to live with my friends.
