Gateway at Huntsville, huntsville-tx

I’ve been here for 3 years in a studio and overall i’ve enjoyed my time here. As for the studio, Bedroom, Livingroom, and Kitchen is perfect for one person. Could fit 5 guest comfortably. Appliances such as Fridge, Stove and Dishwasher, All decent, never used the dishwasher, oven is tricky to use, fridge just make sure to clean it good before use. Don’t really like the Bathroom, does have molding issues from previous renters and a lot of rusted parts like the air vent, not my favorite. Wifi has been great for me. Washer and dryer work great. I opted out for furniture so I can’t say much about the furniture. Closet is a good size has sliding doors that are mirrors. I drive to campus so I can’t say much about the shuttle. I personally think we have one of the best pools. Amenities are great, gym decent size, tanning bed and study rooms. I recommend buying the parking for $20, just make sure your pass is visible cause they will tow, trust me.

With a wonderful community and great balcony views I am proud to say I live here at Gateway. While we’ve had issues with amenities from time to time they were always swift to fix them. The environment is great, and is perfect for anyone’s first residence or “off campus dorm” as a college student! With a wonderful pool, and nice gym I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Gateway for being the place I call home.

I stayed from December until July, moving in on December 18 while still paying the full month’s rent. The unit had many bugs and dust everywhere; I asked for cleaning, but they only cleaned the ceiling fan. I will upload photos. When I raised the bug issue, they said they would call someone; weeks later, they claimed someone had already been sent. I installed a camera in my room because it is a shared house, yet no one arrived. When I mentioned this, they suggested a system glitch. My move-out date was July 18. I received texts about returning the keys; I said I would arrive on Thursday, and they agreed to see me then but entered on Wednesday—one day early. I met Emily, a white woman at the front desk, who said they had already charged $125 and changed the locks. I was confused; I asked why they had not told me so I could avoid a two-hour drive each way. When I requested better communication to prevent that travel, she said “okay” without apology. Please do not rent here; save yourself the hassle.

Gateway was welcoming at first but had a lot of issues. The wifi never works correctly and a lot of times I had to use my own data. This of course is unfair since I had to pay for the wifi and set it up on my own. I had issues of mold in one apartment and water damage in the other apartment I had to move into. When removing a mattress from a apartment they left it outside in the hallway for nearly a month, not sure if they threw it away. They also are not organized at all. When I renew they had promised my apartment to a new move-in and had changed roommates multiple times. Their greatest strength are the shuttle drivers that are absolutely amazing. I would only recommend this apartment if they fix all of these issues.

If you are an incoming student, please DO NOT MOVE HERE. Upon move in there was mold underneath my bathroom sink, not sure how that went unnoticed by management before I moved in. When I moved to a different building there was mold on the kitchen ceiling from water damage. There were roaches everywhere coming in from cracks around the apartment. The apartment was not cleaned when I moved in. They switched over to a cheaper wifi that goes out constantly when the previous wifi worked perfectly fine. Their buildings are out dated and in need of major updates. Giving two stars because i've never had an issue with management.
