Hale Haukani, honolulu-hi

I’ll just start by saying thank god I moved out. It’s been a full year and STILL the amenities such as the market which were PROMISED have not been built yet. Hale haukani decided to spend the entire year building a children’s center in the north tower which benefits none of the residents paying the egregious rent costs. Atleast now you can hear children screaming while Hale Haukani raises the rent and delivers on nothing. The parking situation is truly awful and they threaten to tow your car even if you’re just putting away groceries or running home to grab something. As everyone mentions there is no A/C and terrible ventilation so it gets extremely hot. I could almost forgive all of the things I listed if it weren’t for the fact that maintenance will illegally enter your apartment at will. I know people have been walked in on while changing and naked which is absolutely unacceptable and I will NOT be surprised in the slightest when the inevitable lawsuit hits. The staff being completely snobby and fake nice is the cherry on top, they will do anything to lure you into renting. I think it’s extremely funny and telling that the only 5 star reviews are from parents who have just toured the building then Hale Haukani throws a rent discount on the first month in exchange for any positive review so they can grasp at anything to make themselves look better. Can’t wait for the new round of residents to leave their reviews and explain the terrible experience they had after they see the truth. Don’t even waste your breath replying to me with fake courtesy, instead use that energy to execute the bare minimum and tighten up your shady operation.

Lizette was amazing! She gave us such a great tour of Hale Haukani and truly made the whole experience feel welcoming and exciting. She was incredibly sweet, very knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions with honesty and transparency. You can tell she really cares about helping people find the right place to live. My daughter will be starting at UH Manoa very soon so we scheduled a tour here and were lucky enough to have Lizette show us around. She was very approachable and professional. She answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed and gave us a lot of practical information that parents actually want to know, not just details about the property itself. She talked about the surrounding area, transportation, etc. After seeing several places, this one stood out because it felt well maintained and in a convenient location. We came to Hale Haukani for a tour and Lizette was our guide and she was literally the best. Sometimes these tours can feel super awkward or like they’re just trying to sell you something, but she was so nice and welcoming and actually answered all my random questions about what it’s like living there and the university experience.
