The Harrison, harrisonburg-va

I have lived at the Harrison for two years now and it really is a good apartment for college students. The amenities are great and maintenance has always come to our apartment within 24 hours! We have had a few issues with appliances in the apartment but management and the maintenance crew worked with us and helped us out. Prices are also reasonable. I definitely recommend considering to live here!

The apartment itself is what I could have expected at the rate and condition for college students. However, the management is honestly hard to work with, I had issues from move in day getting information I needed, for example, how to set up a router WiFi (they don’t provide the router/ they didn’t know what company they even had). My car had also broke down and I didn’t have access to my parking pass to put it in my new car and they told me I needed to purchase a new one or park in a visitor spot for the rest of the semester. It’s just a bunch of little things that felt like they just wanted to collect a check off my life’s inconveniences. Don’t live here if you don’t want to be on the phone with them multiple times a month.

I have lived here a couple of months and recently re-signed for another year. The Harrison is a great place to live! It's super close to campus if you go to JMU, they have tons of amenities and when we had issues with our hot water heater, the maintenance staff was super quick to help. Definitely a great place to live for the price!

Terrible place to live, cheap for a reason, blinds break if you breath on them wrong. Poor water conditions. flooding has occurred many times to many people. Water heaters break dishwasher hardly works and floods other apartments. Would suggest living in north or south view. Key fob rarely works for the gym. The gym is so bad compared to others, not much equipment to even get a decent workout in.

I was recently fined for having a cigarette on the property, yet there is a consistent issue with others—including what appear to be staff or contractors—smoking in common areas and near stairwells without any repercussions. It's frustrating to be penalized for a policy that isn't being enforced across the board. If there’s a smoking ban, it should apply to everyone equally. So don’t go here if you want to be charged by their own workers smoking on your property
