Yea sure this place is close to campus and may seem reasonably priced, but these people have stolen well over 1k worth of money from me for no reason and threatened to evict me if I did not pay. They changed their story multiple times on where the extra charge of $500 came from, first claiming it was a charge from my old unit, then changed their story and said it was unpaid rent from my current unit. Never in my life have I dealt with a more exhausting management team than these people. So if you’re not looking to be robbed of $500 I would not recommend living here. Also new units you move into aren’t even cleaned properly and there’s a lot of damage. Just an overall horrible experience I have living in these apartment buildings and I’m so happy that my lease is finally ending so I can get the hell away from these people.

Decent pricing for an apartment, I found myself without a dorm at SELU due to applying for housing late and they were able to accomdate me fairly quickly. Places in the surrounding campus area would charge just as much, if not more but WITHOUT furnishings (bedding, desks, a couch, etc), so it was already a plus. It's proximity to North oak Park and in conjunction campus makes it the metaphorical jackpot in a "Best of Both worlds" way, and management in my experience has been extremely quick and proactive in the small problems I DID have. Definitely give this place a chance.

Nice Facility, but has management issues and definitely struggles on the maintenance side of things. Location is prone to be trashy and not family friendly, but has nice amenities like a great pool, gym, and sand volleyball. The included furniture is also a nice perk.

After a year of fighting with this complex I have finally lost the war and have paid an extra $1100 unnecessarily. Around $600 ish was for a months' worth of rent that they have charged for no reason but was unable to dispute. Another $500 ish was for my deposit even though I have kept my space clean upon leaving (Please see pictures attached. These are photo that management sent me). For any college students out there, please take my advice and read the lease before signing. Document what the space looks like upon moving in and have it as evidence if there is any damage that occurred before you got there. When you leave, make sure that your space is clean and document the evidence of it being clean. If they decide to take your deposit, go to a lawyer and make sure you have photos of your space being clean. Behind the facade of this place being a welcoming apartment complex for college students, you have a staff that works against you and is in the business of making a profit, not serving student tenants.

I do not usually do reviews, but I feel the need to do this because of how unfairly treated I believed my mom was. She lived in this apartment complex for about a year and a half. She is a very kind person and very honest. Not even saying this because she is my mom, but just talking to her you would know. The new management team is horrible. My mom went quite a while without a roommate, and one girl was about to move into the other side of the apartment. My mom contacted the girl letting her know that her daughter (me) comes to visit time to time and to not be alarmed if she sees me. This young girl decided it was a great idea to lie on my mom and say I moved into the other room, mind you none of my stuff was in there to begin with, so why she lied I am not sure. The management even came to check, found nothing but still warned my mom like she was wrong. Even after seeing nothing was in there, they accused my mom of saying that I moved in there on recording telling her they have her on recording saying that. I know damn well I did not move in with her because I lived with my stepmom and dad at this time and I currently live on campus in my University. The second attempted roommate came and didn't even last a day without complaining saying that my mom put oil all over the walls. She does this as a protection for her religion because she is spiritual. Where are the rules and restrictions about religious practices being wrong for the apartment? These people threatened to evict my mom or make her pay for both sides which I feel like is illegal but whatever. Mind you the second girl my mom said her and her family reeked of smoke, and when I went to visit and looked around the tub was dirty as hell and my mom said she never been in that room since she had moved in. When the first roommate was supposed to come the "cleaners" came in and did absolutely NOTHING about the bathroom. You all want to complain about oil and false move-in, but cant even keep your cleaners in line. My mom likes to keep to herself, she isn't a messy or dramatic person either. I seen what the place looked like and they complain about the wrong things. Our upstairs neighbors CONSTANTLY made noises and stomping everywhere and I have multiple recordings of it in the middle of the night. Dog barking, people banging loud music at night time. Just yesterday it was trash spilled all in the road leading down to the apartments, but they complained about a little oil and a lie about me moving in which never happened. I am highly upset with how they treated her with this and she is currently trying to get into a new place that is way better and cheaper. The price of this apartment wasn't even worth it with how unclean and dirty of a place it was. Horrible management team. I do not recommend this area.
