My experience with First Street Place has been unacceptable and raises legitimate concerns regarding management integrity and business practices. Upon move in, essential utilities (lights and water) were not activated, and my vehicle was wrongfully towed, requiring reimbursement. Throughout my tenancy, I encountered repeated issues with staff — specifically Jenna Isley, Cam, Alexis, and “new management” Marissa who were consistently dismissive, unprofessional, and unresponsive. Despite my ledger and receipts confirming full payment, management falsely claimed I owed first month’s rent. It took nearly two months of persistent documentation and everyday follow-ups to have the error corrected. This property’s accounting practices appear highly questionable, and communication is nearly nonexistent. Calls and emails often go unanswered, forcing residents to visit the office in person where staff frequently deny prior statements. Current and prospective residents are strongly advised to maintain detailed records, retain all receipts, print leases, and conduct all communication in writing. The lack of transparency and accountability within this organization is deeply concerning. If you don’t anything from this review KEEP A PAPER TRAIL OF EVERYTHING. I was days away from involving legal counsel due to the repeated mishandling of my account. In my opinion, this is not a trustworthy business and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend leasing here.

My favorite youngest barely adult moved to First Street Place from Elizabeth City, NC with their partner in crime aka Maverick, The Mav-Man, Mavin-o. The complex was overall clean(inside & out), tidy, ensured my youngest(& Maverick's) safety, package delivery was spot-on, there were no issues with bugs nor any heating/ac issues. The elevator did not work from time to time, however that would merely prime one's legs for the hop/skip/jump to the parking lot down the hill! Maverick was always in need of cardio so the stairs & hill were not all together bad! Employees were kind, gracious, knowledgeable of the building/rules & knew some of the immediate area. The staff also knew most animal residents by name!

This is BY FAR the worst place in Greenville to live at. If I could give a ZERO I would. Let me save you time and just list the things that occurred while I stayed here: • Unpainted walls (was promised that painters would come & they never did) • Roach infestation (baby roaches as well) I’ve spent at least $50 on roach repellent materials also DEAD roaches spread out like Easter eggs in the hallway and one in our vents. •Washer machine broken •Floor lifting and new species of bugs appearing •Wasn’t cleaned (or painted) when I first moved in there was someone’s hair in the shower and stains on the wall on top of bugs. •Garbage disposal didn’t work me and my co app had to fix it out of our pockets •upon move in there was also a odd smell just like other reviews mentioned Do yourself a favor and consider a different apartment complex, as much as rent is there should be NO REASON I should live like I’m in the slums.

If I could give this place a lower rating I will. On the outside of this apartment it looks good but on inside there is so much problems. When I first moved into my unit there was a dead roach in the kitchen. This place has a serious infection of them I found one almost everyday. The next issue I had with them is that they had a mold problem. I included pictures so that you can see it for yourself. The mold in this place ruin most of my clothes, items, and I felt like my health deteriorate because of it. The next issue is that the trash shoot room is nasty. Some of the residents here just throws the trash on the ground instead of throwing it into the shoot. I felt like management just cleans it when people are about to move in which was like twice a year. If you think about studying for class or sleeping early in your apartment don't do it because some of your neighbors are rude and not courteous of other people who live there. They will be playing loud music, slamming things so hard that your apartment shakes, and be skateboarding in the halls. This happen frequently when I was there and at odd hours like between 12am - 2am. And it doesn't matter how much you complain to management about it. They tell you that they told them but the problems still continues. Some residents here be smoking in the staircase too and its not the legal kind of smoking. Also, it located right next to the railroad where the train pass every night honking its horn. There is so much problems with this place I cant even list them all: pet urine in the hall, being nickel and dime for many thing, the printer is always out of ink when you need it, and the fire alarm goes off randomly couple of times in a semester...So if you like to live in a chaotic apartment this place is for you but my recommendation to you is to avoid this place like the plague.

this place has gone to crap since the old “porter” guy i think named drew left. i feel as though he was the only one who actually cared about how this place looked cleaning wise. the apartment building has felt so disgusting for the past month or so. trash everywhere, dirty floors, elevator smelling like urine, dead bugs everywhere, foul smelling hallways, and now all four of the trash chutes are filled to the brim with trash from the bottom floor up to the fourth floor. there are so many bags of trash in the rooms that you can’t even open the door and the trash is spilling out into the hallways making it smell horrible. this is because it is completely filled due to it not being taken out to the dumpsters outside. it took almost 3 weeks for them to even mop down in the basement. for three weeks i had to avoid stepping in the same pile of dog crap. yall really need to step it up and figure it out because this is so gross
