The guy who gave me the keys was not informed that a keypad lock had been added to the door! (Not his fault, I think it was very recent), so when I showed up, having gotten electricity and Cox internet taken care of first, with Cox Box device in hand, I couldn’t open the front door! I called after hours emergency number, was told someone would contact me Saturday morning. I was meeting the movers at storage at 9am to load up my things and move them to the apartment. At 8:20am I called the emergency line again. One gal asked me if this could wait until Monday, lol. Yeah, I didn’t want to pay the movers twice, lol. The guy who gave me the keys came in on his day off (I presume), looked on the computer, found the information, went to the apartment, made sure he could get in, and texted me the code, lol. All good. The apartment has some mold / rust issues, and the shampooed carpeting smelled musty. There are other issues that mostly just annoy me, lol, but I think I will survive. ;) If I can figure out how to get this place to cool down…

My wife and I live at the Villa Flores. The entire Meridian team is super professional, honest, and works hard and with integrity! We have made it our home and are very happy and blessed. Yessica and Javier are amazing, kind, polite, and on top of everything! Thank you Meridian for taking care of everything!

After Two years of living in an apartment managed by Meridian Group. I was doing laundry when my girlfriend called on her way to the hospital. I forgot I had laundry in the dryer in the community laundry room. Went to work the next morning at 5:30 am to make money to pay the rent, When I came home there was a notice to pay a $100 fee. When I paid my rent the following week they had added another $150 late fee that I did not notice making my rent payment $250 short and late because they added $250 in fees incurring another $150 late fee. Now they want $400 in fees for leaving a load in the dryer. I asked "where the clothes were?" they said "they were out with the trash". I asked about fixing the issue because I could not afford an extra $400 this month. They said it must be paid by the first or I will receive more late fees and that the "past due" fees get paid before rent and if rent is not paid in full I will receive more late fees. This management is a nightmare. This $400 I have to borrow from my boss to pay for leaving a load of laundry. I still have to replace the clothes and they said "I am welcome to move out If I like," but I will still have to pay the $18,000 left on the lease for this year. My past neighbor left and said they took all his deposit and they took him to court for another $3000 on top of his deposit. The place was fine. He said they get receipts from their maintenance crews so they can sue you for tens of thousands because you signed a contract that says you cant sue them back or charge them for legal fees so you are defenseless against them. He got an attorney to fight them and won but he had to pay the attorney fees because they do not pay legal fees even if they lose, Santa Barbara deserves better. This is the worst management company

1) unprofessional -- service technicians come in with no notice. water shut offs without notice beforehand. random construction of walls inside the apartment to raise the cost of monthly rent. 2) multiple gas LEAKS in the span of a year causing illness and nausea. total health hazard. not to mention, the mold inside the walls. 3) parking -- goodluck getting in and out of your abnormally tiny parking lot. If you're a student in the isla vista area, LOOK ELSEWHERE for housing.

I was so thankful to De De and Christopher for allowing myself and my 2 adult daughters for moving into one of their home rentals. Christopher made it easy and not complicated to sign all forms necessary at his desk and explained to me the policies of Meridian Management. De De made sure that the repairs in side the home were done. The windows blinds in the home are new and clean and also the house was clean. Sincerely grateful, Mary Cook. and daughters.
