Social 28 has been a great apartment community, and my experience with the leasing office was especially positive. I went in with a lot of questions, and Bella was so helpful! She took the time to answer all of my questions, explain everything clearly, and make sure I understood the process. She was friendly, patient, and welcoming, which made the whole experience much less stressful. Thank you, Bella, for all your help and excellent customer service! 😊

Pros: The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is nice, literally across the street from campus, covered parking. Cons: Walls are paper thin (you will hear everything going on within your unit and others), constant construction, raised rent It's alright. The pros are redeeming, but when I am woken up around 7 in the morning every day because of drilling, hammering, or someone on the construction team yelling, I cannot say it has been enjoyable. To add to that, I feel like I have no privacy at any time because of how thin these walls are. Anyone in the living room/kitchen can hear you from any room in the unit, and you can hear anyone in the living room/kitchen like they are right next to you.

After living here for two years I can confidently say you should avoid this complex at all costs. After RAISING our rent, the pool, gym, and study rooms were closed for months, accompanied by extremely loud construction all day and our windows boarded up for months. Do not be fooled by the alleged AI mock-ups of the space they are showing, because there is absolutely no way this place will look like that when they can't even get the mold to stop growing in our shower. The washing machine has ruined countless items of my clothing, the dishwasher leaves dishes caked in disgusting film, bugs get in through the doors (even though a new one was JUST put on), and there was absolutely nothing done to reconcile this with our rent. The elevators are broken literally all the time, and during construction the doors were propped open/left unlocked all day and night, completely bypassing basically any level of security for the complex. The parking (which I pay $250/month for mind you) has zero security, people park in my spot all the time, the leasing office doesn't care, and someone literally SPRAYPAINTED on my car while it was parked here. I chose to live in an apartment because of the amenities and the security that comes with living in a complex, and this place was the exact opposite of that. I seriously cannot wait to get out of here. The property also does not pickup the phone or respond to emails regarding any of these issues. Just don't waste your money :))

Let me start by saying the leasing office staff here is absolutely amazing. This includes the managers. Literally every single one is helpful, kind, and really just very friendly. They are all great. I seriously wish I could leave a 5 star review because they are so great. It's just because of the construction that went on this past year. Construction workers everywhere blocking off all sorts of exits around the apartment. Every morning woken up at like 7:30am and it was so loud I couldn't sleep, could barely even hear the TV during the day. I'd wake up to the noise so early and it would be pitch black because our windows were boarded up from the outside. My room was pitch black for like 2 months. Boarded up windows. Like it could be 2pm and it would be pitch black in my room. You'd think it was midnight. Even the balcony door was closed. No natural light at all in the apartment. I had to leave the apartment to know what time of day it was. It sucked. I know the leasing office will see this and whoever it is, yall are great. I know almost all of you pretty well and yall are wonderful. But that was a horrendous year. I can live in some awful conditions I am not picky at all. But this was insane. Please don't take this personally. I will say... if anyone is thinking of living here, I definitely DO recommend it. Despite the 2 star rating, the construction was a one-time thing and won't happen again. It was horrible. Absolutely awful. But now that it's over, I see no issues with this place for future residents.

Stellar leasing experience. Office staff are always on it and the maintenance team is quick to fix everything. Marissa in the office is especially helpful with any questions you may have. Highly recommend for a premium location in Gainesville.
