I'd give Aspen Ridge Apartments 4.5/5. I lived here for two years and really enjoyed my experience. It is a quiet, diverse community of students, families, and young professionals, conveniently located near Butler Plaza, Indian grocery stores, and other everyday amenities. The complex is a sister community of Greenwich Green Apartments, which offers amenities such as a pool, sports courts, and a small gym. During my time here, they also organized fun community events, which were a great way to meet neighbors. The community managers are wonderful, and every service request I submitted was handled promptly and professionally. A couple of enhancements that would make an already great community even better would be slightly wider parking spaces at Aspen Ridge and more frequent cleaning of the common hallways.

Our apartment flooded during October due to the maintenance team improperly installing a new water heater. Not only did we have to pay the deductible on the renters insurance for their mistake, they have still failed to return the apartment to its original condition. The carpet has issues. The paint on the walls is scraped from when their restoration team moved stuff. And there’s seemingly mold issues they simply denny and refuse to address. The company allows their property to become overrun with dog poop, trash, and constant smoking. They don’t care if people are screaming outside at 2-3am on a regular basis. So please reconsider about renting from them.

I had a positive response here not too long ago. That was until it became clear that my window was a front row view to an undisclosed mental health facility. I was personally stalked, sexually harassed, and witnessed an aggressive racial dispute (“White power”/“Black power”) all while caring for an infant. Enough that the facility’s vice president stepped in and sent me a personal apology: “Thank you for reaching out and for bringing these incidents to our attention. I want to begin by saying how sorry I am that this situation has occurred and for the impact it has had on you and your family.” Meanwhile, Collier’s stance: “As this involves someone outside of our property, our ability to intervene is limited.” We demanded lease termination and Collier denied our request.

Beware these are the kinds of people you’ll be moving in next to. Apparently Collier finds this acceptable because if they truly believed it was unacceptable they’d let us out of the lease after reporting numerous instances.

Quiet apartment complex. Rent is good. Mostly families in our building. Office staff is very friendly, very attentive, and willing to assist with any issues we’ve encountered immediately. Maintenance is also great.
