I arrived here on December 30, but they still made me pay for utilities. I opened a utility account and was supposed to start paying, but then a new person moved in and they never added them to the bill. When the bill arrived with an excessive charge, they said it was because of the winter, and even though she spent 90% of the time with me, I paid 60% of the bill. It was only after arguing for a whole month that I managed to get that result. I told them I didn’t want the same problem again, that I was tired of it, and that they should sort everything out. This month the same thing happened again. The apartment bill is in my name only, even though two people live there, and I’m the one who has to pay it. They sent the bill two days before the due date, and even though I asked them to split it into installments, They just say they’re escalating the situation; they say they’ll contact me, but they never do. I’m always the one who has to reach out to them. On top of that, they say that if I don’t pay, I’ll accrue interest and have to pay more money, so they ask for my patience but at the same time tell me to pay quickly. Their excuse is that my roommate is temporary, but that should be the administration’s problem, but it’s because of the administration itself that these problems are happening. I’m still in the middle of a dispute, but I think that in the end I’ll have to pay and wait to see if they deign to refund the money later—and that’s if they don’t make excuses and make me pay more than half the bill. Terrible place to live and excessive fees for an apartment.

I don't give reviews often but felt that others needed to know my experience with Alight. I was fortunate enough to get a decent looking apartment. You could see the light through the front door and our lock would go out randomly on the occasion. Safety wise, there are homeless people walking through the parking lot and there is a drug house across the street. One of my roommates had gotten a pet after several months but didn't inform the office about it. My other roommate had specifically signed a lease with no roommates with pets due to her health. The office only asked us to consent with the form that they sent. If we didn't, the pet would either have to leave or the the roommate with the pet had to move out. Neither of us signed the form and nothing was done about it. During the month of December, my roommates and I were all out of town and set our heater to the recommended temperature to set before leaving. Our bill increased more than double even though we weren't there. Alight told us to question the electric company but the electric company said that they couldn't do anything and it was Alight who had to deal with it. My roommates and I had to constantly inform the office about our maintenance requests to be looked at. When I moved in August 2023, as per lease recommendation, I inspected my room and noticed that my bedroom window was broken. I sent in an inspection form and maintenance request within the week I moved in. A roommate told me the previous roommate when moving in had also seen the broken window and informed the office. They did nothing for her whole lease. It was broken by the previous tenant. Every time I informed them and sent a maintenance request, they would state that it was resolved but it never was. I sent in several maintenance request and the only thing done was some window crew came to see it. When I moved out, it still wasn't fixed.

Sarah is awesome, great manager. Rest of the staff is super helpful and friendly too. All my maintenance requests were fixed within a day or two.

I give this place 0 stars. This place is the biggest scam, filthy, and broken furniture. They don't care AT ALL!!! Why would they, people keep leasing their crappy apartments. When we moved my son in last August the apartment had been lived in for I'm assuming at least a year by an older man at least 30 years old who was a terrible housekeeper at best. The shuttle to campus didn't work for weeks when it was 100 degrees outside so he had to walk. We were just hit with all kinds of crazy charges like the paint in the bathroom wasn't a professional job even though they painted it. The furniture was broken so we have to pay for it even though it was always broken. Check out the pictures we took of the place when we moved in to his "supposedly" clean and furnished apartment. Kinda funny that it's acceptable to them when we moved in but when you move out anything that wasn't documented is put on your bill...Pictures: His lovely filthy mattress, a disgustingly dirty and greasy air return, blinds that look like a cat lived in them, filthy living area, took a cushion up and that is the frame of the couch, kitchen table, and pics we didn't get- fridge was FILTHY, range was FILTHY!! DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES THEY POST ON THE WEBSITE!!!! I DID let you know my concerns on move in day and you all did NOTHING. All the reviews are bad, this should tell you something.

Terrible experience. I’m about to move out and one reason I refused to sign another lease with them was cause of the rat infestation in my building that they have refused to take care of. The cleanliness of the property itself is not the best.
