Niskanen Expansion 1837 Julianna, fargo-nd

AC did not work but maintenance got it fixed. But no blinds or curtains.

Niskanen was pretty nice to live in in my first year at NDSU. The nice thing is how the units don't feel like a dorm. They are apartment style which makes it feel more comfortable. There's a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, stove/oven, and it even comes with a couch, coffee table, chairs, and more. In Middle, you'll have to share a bedroom, but I did get lucky with my own since no one else got assigned into it. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars is the location. Fair warning for those who want the true on-campus feeling, Niskanen will not give that to you. It's basically the last building on campus. There's lots of places around it, but no campus places besides more apartment/residence halls. Also, there are only two busses that come to the stop, so you'll have to really know the schedule to make your classes on time. The walk is too far as well, especially in the winter. Another negative, is there are only two washers/ two dryers per floor in Middle. This caused many issues as machines filled up fast and residents wouldn't pick up their clothes from the dryer. I once had to wait 6 hours for a dryer. I just gave up at that point.

Great room size, common spaces for each suite are very spacious. Only one lounge area that is located on the 3rd floor.
