This place is one of the best student residences in Eugene, in the heart of downtown and a bus ride to campus or a 6 min walk on a sunny day. Its going through a makeover right now and will come back stronger. The staff there is amazing and always willing to lend a hand from the maintenance and security to the front desk. Whenever I am in the office whether it’s picking up a guest pass of getting packages I always have a great experience when Zack’s there. He’s always acting professional, and goes above and beyond to help. Thanks for always making my experience in the office pleasant and enjoyable. That being said if you have time for a tour or are looking for a place to stay in the fall, give them a call and they will get you right.

I’ve had a great experience with the leasing office. Isaac was very helpful throughout the leasing process and made everything easy and stress-free. Additionally, Logan, Zach, and Grace are always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond whenever I have questions or need assistance. Their excellent customer service and prompt communication make this a great place to live.

Zack in the front office is a huge impact in a positive way for the Hayward. He is always happy as can be when we come into the office even when he is busy he's always making sure people are taken care of. He's always helped with packages billing maintenance problems the best way he can.Throughout my time living here. I have always been able to get a hold of the front office cause he has been there to answer the phone and help me with any questions I have. I genuinely think that the Hayward has become a better place to live because he is a part of the team here so if people are deciding to live here, they should know that they have a great staff up in the front office and always ask for Zack because he is someone who will help you no questions asked.

I am so disappointed with my experience living at the Hayward. It was great at first, until the renovation started, and then all the amenities on the olive side were removed and if I wanted to use them, I would have to walk over to the Willamette side. The one available gym is very small and does not accommodate that many people, there is no Amazon package locker as advertised for the residents on the olive side, and there’s also no pool currently. The new garage doors that were installed don’t even let me in, which means I have to find street parking around the complex, which I don’t feel safe walking to at night as a woman. Management usually doesn’t return my voicemails, and I have to give constant reminders if I want any maintenance to be done in my room. I had to constantly remind the front office for a month and a half to get my bedroom lock re-keyed When I originally moved in, I was assigned to live with someone 15 years my senior with filthy counters and floors, it looked like nothing had been cleaned. I petitioned to get moved, and I did, which I am thankful for. I was also told I am not allowed to cancel my lease, and I had to pay $300 finders fee for the complex to find someone to take over next year’s lease if I wanted to terminate it. Overall, you kinda get what you pay for in terms of quality. My one positive is that the office staff are kind and respectful when I can get ahold of them.

This place is awful I don’t recommend. Hope you don’t mind being ghosted because Management never follows up with whatever concerns you may have. Most of the leasing staff are rude and stuck up when it comes to simple concerns. The constant construction has been an inconvenience to EVERYONE. not to mention things are always breaking at this place. It took my child multiple maintenance request in the span of a year just to be ignored or the job being done incorrectly. My child has told me multiple times they don’t feel safe in their own apartment. There’s always different creeps lurking around outside and INSIDE the building (people who clearly don’t live there) and security is nowhere to be found. I can go on and on about the constant overcharge every month for things that my kid was not supposed to pay for or the hallways always smelling of urine or mildew because they want to paint over a dirty concrete floor. And I haven’t forgotten about the few roaches that I’ve had the misfortune of seeing DISGUSTING.
