The Landings at Chandler Crossings, east-lansing-mi

The new property manager is doing a very good job with handling maintenance and leasing simultaneously. The grounds look the best they have in years. They even recently got a brand new high speed internet company partnered with them, and now the WiFi is amazing!

This place will tow your vehicle without checking that your registration is up to date, and will not check anything further than the sticker. If you try to talk to anybody about the issue in terms of staff they will tell you they can’t help and direct you away to other people. If you’re curious my tow was 400$, plus the cost of updating the registration days before. If you’re considering living here be ready for a fixer upper of an apartment including a broken washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Oh, and if you try to submit a maintenance request be prepared to wait 2 weeks unless you have a lawyer you’re willing to cc in your email. With that said bring your cleaning supplies on move in day and be prepared to spend hours scrubbing every nook and cranny of dust, dirt, and lint. Move into these apartment complexes at your own risk, here is some proof of the things that I have mentioned.

This is the worst apartment complex of all time in all of East Lansing. Ive never experienced such a shitty experience in my life, the management sucks, the maintenance sucks they take days to get stuff done, and none of the employees are ever on the same page. On top of that I’ve never met such rude and unaware employees working at an apartment complex. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone even though it’s the cheapest you’ll find around EL, the price reflects the quality of everything at that place including the employees. The wifi also never works and I thought oh maybe the club house with “study rooms” will have better wifi, I was wrong it’s the same trash wifi. What college student wants to live in an apartment with practically no wifi?? Also there was a fire in one of the buildings and the apartments renter insurance didn’t help the residents affected with the belongings they lost. If I could give it a 0 I would.

Our unit was not cleaned prior to our move-in. Living space, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, all of it was dirty. Internet provider has also been awful and ownership has procrastinated to resolve the issue. I work from home, so this severely impacts my ability to work. This has now been an issue for 4 months. The front office also will not answer calls and you will always be sent to voicemail. Update: We’re about at the end of our 1 year lease and these issues have not been resolved. Internet continues to be abysmal. Frequent disconnects every few hours, if not minutes. Management refuses to do anything about it and have been aware since August. This issue has persisted for an entire year.

Are you a college student that wants to go 6-8 months with no internet! Come on down!!! An entire summer no A/C?? They've got a place for you!! How about the following winter still having no A/C or heat, they give you an industrial heating unit which of course runs up your electricity bill, then they go back on their word and claim you are no responsible for all extra charges even after you have in writing from the previous property manager (they go through one every 3 months) that are not responsible and have to then go to court for their corporate attorney to apologize to you because obviously you aren't responsible for anything but still have to waste your time and go through the process to keep your money??? They've got you handled!!! It is literally the cheapest spot near East Lansing price and quality wise.
