College Manor Apartments, east-lansing-mi

My daughter rented this apt. and Edward is the best apt manager I have ever met. He always respons promptly, and helped us greatly to sublease my daughter's apt with a small fees(around $70 )during the summer. We chose this apt because of Edward, location, and the rent fees. Apt is very old and it doesn't have a laundry room in the building. It doesn't have AC in the unit, but they allow you to have your own AC. All the utility is included and you only pays the internet service (Xfinity) The city parking garage locates right next to the apt and it is the best location with reasonable rent fees.

In this day and age, it’s hard to know who you can trust. As a parent, you want to be sure your child is in a good safe place where you KNOW they will be taken care of. Ed is one of those landlords you could only dream of….he’s authentic, prompt, honest, kind, has a great sense of humor and is just an overall GOOD HUMAN BEING. No need to look any further, you are in good hands.

College Manor is a fantastic place to live, on the backside of Grand River, across from the MSU Campus. The property manager, Mr. Ed is the upmost professional, working tirelessly for the tenants. I was a commuter, living there on the weekends, while attending graduate school at MSU from 2021-2024. I rented my unit, site unseen, based on ONE conversation with Mr. Ed. The entire College Manor team are outstanding and I highly recommend renting a unit here! FIVE STARS from Dr. Nikki! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved my apartment college manor so much that I ended up signing for a second year! I loved the style of the apartments. Being an old building, all the apartments have so much character. And you CANNOT beat the location! I never had to walk more than 15 minutes to get to class or to go to the library. It's right in the middle of everything. Close to all the restaurants when you want to grab a bite to eat. Close to several coffee shops if you want to study outside of your apartment. And most importantly, it's RIGHT above the bars. So when you want to go out with friends or have friends over before going out, it's super convenient. Also, my utilities were always very low as heat was included and I only had to pay for internet, electric, and gas. Something else that really sets this apartment above the rest is staff. It's one guy that operates and maintains the apartments, Ed. But he is always on top of things. I've known so many friends that have lived at big apartment complexes and whenever they had a problem with something, it took months to be addressed and/or for someone to come fix it. With Ed, all you have to do is call and he'll fix whatever it is as soon as possible. The ONLY complaints I have about this apartment are the parking and the laundry. There isn't parking offered for the tenants or their guests at all. If your friends live close by, if you don't have a car, and/or if you rarely use your car this won't be an issue for you. But if you want a car and use a car often it's quite the hassle. There a lot a couple blocks away at which Ed can get you a parking pass for. And it's not much at all to park there each month. I did that during the warmer months. And then during the winter, I paid the higher price to park at the various garages downtown East Lansing. And in regards to the laundry, there is no washer and dryer in the unit or in the building. So you'll have to go over to a friends or go to a laundromat to do laundry. Other than the parking and laundry situations though, I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone!

Ed is such a great guy! The management here is responsive and helpful. I had to sublease my apartment out last year and he was more than helpful to find someone take over my lease. Great communication. Really wish I didn't have to sublease my apartment, the location is perfect, parking garage right next door and next to all the bars. If you want a place thats near all the college life and right by campus this is it.
