Arbor Glen Apartments, east-lansing-mi

Overall, the apartment is decent and the regular service is generally good. The leasing office staff are good, and the maintenance team is excellent. They are kind, responsive, and usually arrive very quickly when there is an issue. I genuinely appreciate their effort (Two stars are for maintenance team). However, there are several major downsides. First, during spring and fall, boxelder bugs become a serious problem. They appear in large numbers around the apartment, especially near windows. I saw and killed 10-15 bugs in my room everyday. Also, room with large windows become extremely cold during the winter. I installed extra insulation film by myself. The biggest issue, however, was the outside contractor hired by management for repairs. I have lived in multiple places before, and I have never experienced anything this unprofessional. They entered the apartment covered in mud, left dirt on the carpet, completely trashed my walk-in closet and left it that way, left the AC running after I had turned it off (basically I don’t use AC during spring, so it’s pretty sure someone turned on), and even stepped on my clothes!!! It’s definitely not a professional job and people don’t do that if they have common sense. I thought someone broke into my room at the time. It is unfortunate because the actual apartment staff and maintenance team are basically good people. (I am currently in contact with management regarding this incident). The third-party service hired for repairs was the complete opposite. If you want to experience unbelievably disrespectful contractor service, this place may be perfect for you.

Connor is very patient and helpful. He is very good at communicating (e.g. keeping me updated about what apartments became available over the week and potentially changing the move-in date). The application process to Arbor Glen was very smooth mainly because of Connor. Thank you, Connor.

Catherine in the leasing office at Arbor Glen is absolutely amazing! From the very first interaction, she was professional, kind, and genuinely helpful. She took the time to answer all of my questions, explained everything clearly, and made the entire process smooth and stress‑free. It’s clear she truly cares about residents and takes pride in her work. Arbor Glen is lucky to have her—she made a big difference in my overall experience. Highly recommend working with Catherine if you get the chance!

Jaren did an awesome job, being candid and honest with us. He showed us exactly what we are looking for and I absolutely loved it. He answered all our questions and was patient and kind with us! He was absolutely awesome. We are in the process of signing the lease now, they even allowed us to move in early because our current place move out is on the 24th and they aren’t charging us extra! (Side note I absolutely hate 25 east which is my current place DO NOT MOVE IN HERE, the partial furnishing was torn up and disgusting they refused to change out or remove them) but anyway the reason I gave 4 stars to arbor glen because of the tour scheduling issue we had. They had to reschedule us 2 time and we finally on the third tour date we managed to see the unit we wanted and it was everything we were looking for and was worth it. Just was a bit annoying trying to get a tour around our schedule and them rescheduling it. But this was NOT Jaren’s fault he’s amazing. All in all definitely lease here it’s awesome and I’m so excited to move in!!!! Thanks Jaren!!!
