I was a big proponent of the Lodges and would often post on the UNH Parent's page how great it was and their child would be lucky to be there. My daughter lived there for 4 years and really liked it. Her rent was paid on time for 4 years, she never once had anyone complain about her and she kept her apartment spotless. Unfortunately, they have turned out to be greedy greedy people who have absolutely no records of maintenance reports or issues that were promised to be fixed and never were. They stated that their maintenance team has no authority to make such statements? We are disputing a $285.00 charge, a charge that is minimal, but it is the principal of the matter. I had always heard horror stories and I continue to hear stories about The Lodges and I didn't think it would happen to us, but it did. My advise is stay away, record every conversation you have with Staff Members, because the turn around rate is RIDICULOUS.

I’ve lived at The Lodges for the past three years, and I used to recommend it—back when things were actually run well. Three years ago, the property was clean, maintenance was responsive, and management seemed to care. Management has gone drastically downhill. The final utility bills have suddenly spiked to three times the normal amount with no explanation. We were told the final bill would reflect our monthly average but somehow their math tripled the rate leaving a $400 dollar utility bill PER person. Not to mention charging for water mid way through a lease and charging for trash removal when the dumpster is 2ft from my door. When I moved out, they charged a hefty amount for cleaning and damages—despite the fact I left my room spotless and have never been charged for anything in the past two years. No photos, no proof—just random fees they expect you to blindly pay. Communication is a joke. Emails go unanswered, and when they do respond, it's vague or dismissive. They rely on the fact that most tenants are students who don’t have time to fight them on shady charges. Do NOT live here. It may look decent on the outside, but the way things are run now are predatory and greedy. You’re better off literally anywhere else.

Great place to live. However very expensive, appliances need consistent repair in our apartment. Additionally the machines at the gym are consistently broken. Down to one fully functioning treadmill. With signs on the other treadmills that say they will be fixed shortly but have not been.

The maintenance guys are so friendly and kind, they always do their best and are dedicated to their jobs ! I appreciate all the work they do

Really not one to write a review but feel like I need to at this point. Don’t live here as a UNH student. The entire management team operates completely unethically and now the charges they place for “cleaning” without even specifying what those charges are for, are completely outrageous. I left my entire room spotless and they still charge 50$ painting fee for the bathroom as well as cleaning for a shower. I spent multiple days cleaning, vacuuming and dusting to ensure these kinds of charges were not added. They are only concerned with filling their own pockets at the expense of college students and recent graduates. It’s truly outrageous how these people still have jobs when they make money by fabricating damages and cleaning fees. Furthermore, as others have said, the maintenance team will walk into to your locked rooms while you are either sleeping or receiving little to no communication that they would be there that day. The main reason I would not live here is this outrageous management team, who again, are simply only concerned by making up lies, putting 50$ charges for spaces and areas which were completely cleaned and charges for damages that simply do not exist. 15$ per person to clean a microwave that was already cleaned? Are we buying a new microwave at that point? It’s just absurd. Also provided all the pictures of the cleaned room to the team and again nothing changed aside from maybe a single charge. Truly incredible from the Lodges at West Edge management team. 1 star isn’t low enough.
