i could go on and on about this place. i bought a parking permit for this upcoming school year in march and paid for it fully. i signed a parking agreement and secured my spot. currently, less than 2 weeks before move in day, i got an email from Brad white, the property manager, saying that he had to give away my spot to people who are renting property from him because he sold too many parking spaces. never in the parking contract did it say that i could loose my spot, or that it could be transferred to a resident if too many spots were given out. my family and i called brad to explain our concern and he immediately starting screaming at us and hung up the phone. he said he would refund us by a mailed check in 3 weeks. however, since i already secured my off campus job for this year and was screwed for parking with less than a 2 week notice, i had to go and buy another parking spot for double the price. because of this, i reached out to brad again and asked him to refund the credit card we initially paid for the parking spot with because we are out so much money. brad still has not answered any of our calls, as they go straight to voicemail and is avoiding all emails as well. campus flats or torrington properties is a scam, do not ever buy from them. don’t expect to hear back from anyone who works there as well

Just spoke to Tracey Cheney about a refund that was supposedly sent out to my stepdaughter 2 weeks ago after they screwed her out of her paid in full parking spot for this year. The spot was paid in full with her moms credit card and yet for some reason Tracey couldn’t see the logic in my thinking that she should credit back her mothers credit card since that how it was paid. Not sure what kind of business they are running but as a business owner myself I would never treat clients like this.

Greediest Landlords and don’t fix the problems you bring to their attention, there was no hot water for a month. And you have to pay over a grand for a parking pass. You cannot have visitors, or drive a different car for a day without being towed which is 150-200 dollars. Completely overpriced apartments.

If I could give this a 0 star I would. I lived in 23 Main St for 2 years. The location and layout of the apartment is great, don’t get me wrong. However, the property manager and everyone that is apart of Torrington/Campus Flats will look to rip you off every chance they get. They’re going to respond to this poor review with a stupid “oh Jack we’re sorry you feel this way.” They don’t care about you. I moved out and left 3 physical keys for them. They still took 100 dollars from my security deposit because I didn’t give them back a plastic disposable swipe card. They mentioned they needed keys back but never specified. However, it makes sense because all they want is your money. For such a friendly cool town like Durham, this company and the people that work for it really suck the life out of it. I guarantee if you live in this apartment, you’ll find a way to hate by the end of your lease

The staff (Jordy, Tracey, and Brad) are great and very helpful. I left the apartment two months ago and needed a document, they immediately prepared and sent it. During my time living there, they were always very helpful and tried their best to solve any problems I had.
