Shearer Hall is definitely the party dorm and is expensive. I recommend living in the other dorms if you prefer quiet, and cheaper prices. Both room and meal plan in Shearer Hall cost me about $4,900. The only thing that kind of makes Shearer Hall better than the other dorms is the option of the kitchen and being able to cook.

I have a daughter that moved in this semester. Her room was unlocked prior to her arriving. She had someone else's things using it for storage and they took her mattress. The floor is so filthy that her feet were black after her shower. Her friends bathroom didn't even work. Sadly, they are not fixing the issues.
