Unfair charging of a $75 late fee with no care for circumstance despite it being paid on time for months while we still have broken stuff in the apartment that was reported months ago. The person I talked to made sure to place all blame on me and treated my questions about their handling of things like I was stupid for asking about it. Edit: the rent was paid in full on the 4th as soon as I was made aware it hadn't been paid, the rentcafe didn't show what was owed until after I had checked it and rentcafe doesn't show a proper transaction log. All I could see was the I had been billed during the month and nothing was owed. I'm not sure what the grace window would be since I addressed this very quickly an l've had a consistent good history of being on time prior to this miscommunication. With repairs there's been a reoccurring problem with one of the toilet Seats being broken since we began leasing that's been reported before, I'll put that in again though.

This property management and unit really not worth a star, moved my son in on Friday the 19th and the unit was extremely dirty. The carpet cleaning guy was there but the carpet is so badly soiled that it still looks horrible. The unit smelled bad with cigarette smoke and cat urine. Didn't like that each of the boys had to get 100,000 of liability insurance when in fact the building is not well maintained and really not worth it. The entrance had garbage everywhere, doors and handles dirty. One would think with covid and money pox the maintenance snd cleanliness would be a priority for the tenants. They say they needed 10 days to turn the apartment around but really it looked like a tenant moved out on the same day my son was moving in thats how bad the apartment was. The toilet leaks at the base and its still not fixed, a no show on maintenance. We spent hours getting the apartment clean. I really can on but I'll let the pictures speak for how disgusting then unit was. Not good at all.

When we were looking to lease, everyone in the office was completely nice. Once we were moved in, suddenly everyone in the office were completely rude, so they obviously only care about filling vacancies. Maintenance staff have always been really nice, but we brought up issues with 3 of 5 windows not working properly and either they need new weights or need to replaced, which the office has to approve to get done. Recently we brought up issues with the patio, they told us they were deemed safe, a week later a steel beam fell from above and landed on my gf. Maintenance came out to address issue that night and were extremely pleasant to deal with, said property manager would speak to us Monday, 2 days later still haven’t heard from him. If the staff in the office were replaced with people who actually cared a little, this place would be a lot more pleasant to live at.

Called in about 3 times regarding the HVAC system not generating heat, was told emergency maintenance is not certified into fixing it and had to wait for a professional to come in to solve the problem. After about a week and a half no one came, called back again was told they did not have an estimate on how long to wait for someone to come. Currently 67 degrees in the apartment and freezing. HORRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT RENT HERE!!

The apartments are fine for the price but the service sucks. They are very money hungry. I accidentally threw away my $75 parking pass and had to buy a whole new one just because I lost the sticker, although they had my information in their system. If anything it should be a lower charge. We also didn’t get any deposit money back, and had to pay for “damages” instead. That part is probably my fault for not taking pictures, but I didn’t expect them to be so greedy with money. I understand cleaning charges and all that but to have the whole $860 subtracted from the deposit and having to pay an amount on top of that is ridiculous. In terms of the small damages we might have left behind or whatever was there before. The apartments aren’t great to start with so why is all my deposit money being taken out? The guest passes are also pricey, and I don’t understand why you have to pay at all. One last note is that I emailed hunter star asking for an explanation on why we owe money out of the $860 deposit and I got an email saying that they would look over it, but I have a feeling they never did as I didn’t get a response. I understand that we got a break down of the prices but I wanted a further explanation and didn’t get that. I think the owners are selfish taking money from college students like this. A little goes a long way when you have to pay student loans after graduation.
