This is my second year at the flight and my experience here has been amazing. The four bedroom four bathroom setup has been great for me and my roommates. The staff is always having different events and engaging with their residents. Gwen the property manager is super helpful and gives off fantastic energy every day. I would highly recommend living in an apartment here.

I have lived in the flight going on three years now! I have loved living here and the space you get is unlike anywhere on campus. The pool is one of the best amenities during the summer. I would recommend the flight to anyone, especially Grad students looking for housing close to campus.

This is nothing against the ladies in the front! I’ve had longstanding issues with the management of this apartment complex. When they were building it, it was a rushed build and one side kept collapsing, so they tried to send everyone into a hotel AND move the move in date back for the hotel by a week. Once a hotel near campus was full, they started sending people 20 miles away to a hotel near an airport. When you would call them, they would scream at you. I had to threaten the apartment complex with a lawsuit for them to let me break my lease (I didn’t sign up to live in a hotel 20 miles away for 4 months). The property manager does not follow Ohio tenant laws, and entered into my apartment on a day she didn’t inform me she was coming. Then they tried to charge me over 100$. The apartments themselves are fine, but I was promised a walk in closet when I signed the lease and only my roommate was given one? Also they only charged me and not my roommate 10$ extra to look at the pool, so their pricing system is all messed up. The pool is only open for a short amount of time, and while I was there they kept on saying the pool was closed for maintenance and closed the pool two weeks earlier than what they said they would. The outside area is never maintained and looked pretty bad for all major events (graduation, parents weekend, etc). When I moved out, they tried to charge me 255$ in cleaning fees, even though I have a very through video of how I left the place. Additionally I turned in my keys and they’re trying to charge me 200$ for lock changes. Crazy. The trash is a major major issue, they canceled the trash service for 3 weeks and then tried to charge tenants 50$ for leaving trash in the trash room, but we were unable to leave it outside because the dumpsters and overflow dumpsters were overflowing and trash was blowing all over the road and surrounding campus housing. I have multiple pictures of these occurrences and they never got better. Genuinely trash everywhere. They charged up to 150$ a month for parking, but did not maintain the parking lot when heavy snowfall occurred for weeks, so everyone was unable to park there but still had to pay (they make you sign a parking contract for your entire lease if you want to park in the lots). The water in the workout room was turned off for the last 5 months I lived there, which was annoying having to leave a workout to refill your water when there’s a fountain right there. They threw a party near the end of the year at the pool, but did not clean up after the people who came for days. The hallways smelled god awful and there is always trash left around the side stairwells. Overall, a lot of issues. Most 5 star reviews are on here because they incentivize it with giveaways or gifts. Not the worst most unimaginable place to live, but you can find better. PS, try and find all the lawsuits against this place, it’s more than you would think. I recommend going landlord.

this place is genuinely the worst. no working elevators for almost a month now as well as no working internet😁😁 i’ve had MULTIPLE random maintenance workers walk into my apartment without notifying anyone. i’ve also gotten my car towed out of my parking spot that i pay for!! trash hardly gets removed so the place constantly stinks. everyone i know that has already moved out has been charged hundreds of dollars for wall repairs (when we moved in we were told we were allowed to put things on the walls but i guess not). good luck getting ahold of anyone in the office as the phone is never answered and they don’t respond to voicemails. if you want to stay sane and not get your money taken live literally anywhere else but here

It’s reasonably priced for the accommodations. It also comes fully furnished which was a life saver as someone who hates moving furniture. The kitchen is modern and sleek and there is a great view outside. There’s also the benefit of being in walking distance to the University of Dayton, the food places on Brown Street, and close to downtown. And for folks like me who don’t drive, there’s two bus stops basically at the building, one being completely free to ride. It’s a great place to live.
