Do not live here. So many things wrong with this place. Property manager doesn’t respond and doesn’t respect anyone. Rent is astronomically high for a tiny bedroom. They are lying about the rent, they advertise it as $770 but you actually end up paying almost $1,000 every month. This month I got charged $1,500 because they charged $550 for a FISHTANK. Never ever speaking good about this place, they price gouge and take advantage of college students. They charge waiver fees that you shouldn’t be charged, they held our microwave for over month when it broke and then tried to say they “weren’t responsible” for replacing it (we lost almost $150 of food bc of that btw) Also if a company is getting almost $4,000 per apartment I expect to be in a $4,000/month environment. This place is not that, no amenities outside just a parking lot, everything is broken ALL the time and this apartment is small as hell, def not worth it! LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I’ve only lived here a couple months, but it has been a good experience overall. Under the new management I have seen steady improvements to Hawksnest. Elizabeth, the new manager, is absolutely lovely and so helpful with any questions. The pricing is also lower than most other places in Dahlonega which has been helpful. Highly recommend!

Hello! I used to be very against this place and debated change in residence but there has been a change in management. I have had this issue with the AC unit outside my door waking me up time and time again, the old manager didn’t put in the effort to help nor was she productive on making sure residence felt heard and safe. There is a new manager named Elizabeth. She is so super kind and has already been so supportive. She does apartment check quarterly. She has been proactive. I mentioned this issue to her yesterday face to face explaining the severity of it, and today maintenance came in to help this issue. ordered parts to fix right away. Maintenance is so kind and helpful. She plans events for residence to make us feel like a community. She’s very organized as well! I know it’s only been a few days but I feel so much better. Don’t be afraid to talk to her and let her know any issue you have! She will be there for you and help as much as possible! Thank you Elizabeth. I will come back and post another review later on to see how it goes through time! So far, so much better.

i am currently writing this while my buildings wifi is out, has been for ages. it’s slow and never works, and the ac is out. having to rely on the weak ceiling fan that goes at a snails pace and a personal fan. the walls here are PAPER thin, always something wrong or awry, constant changes to my payment, and unless it’s a building-wide issue, they will almost never get around to fixing things. we had a piece of furniture that was nearly destroyed by a past owners pet, and it had been there for YEARS. they tried to charge us for it. they only just now replaced it. the place is livable, and if you’re looking for a dorm alternative it fills the role, but i’m honestly kind of wishing i did get a dorm or tried bellamy instead of hawksnest. hot as all get out in here.

Only live here if it’s your last and only option. KC sucks as a manager rude and abrasive. Got one blanket email in June saying maintenance would be coming in and out for a week. Random workers that were not familiar were in our apartments for all of June and July. Grown men with master keys stayed in the apartments right above me while they did work for the summer. Refused to buy a New washing machine for a month. Constantly asking for them to fix wifi, would be out for a days and weeks at a time, and refused to compromise on a very high utility bill. Charges about 80$ for basic utilities and then with water and energy on top of it can be charged over 110$ a month for utilities. Rent price increase for staying residents if not resigned 11 months before lease ending. Started living here when rent was 655 and is now increased to 685. Refuses to do anything about an unsafe living situation. Approximately 800 dollars a month for this place is not worth it!!!
