The Abigail, columbus-oh

I've lived in the Abigail for almost 3 years now. As these are my last few months I realized how much has gone through my life, yet one thing remained the same, a place to go back to every night. I was freshly 18 when I moved here by myself, I was of course excited, but also had no idea how any of this stuff worked. The staff has always been so accommodating and pays attention to your needs. There was even a time where I fell off a scooter and was walking into the building in pain. The next day I walk into the office with a new water bottle, (which I still have), a pack of liquid iv, and a few other small things. At that moment and even now that had meant so much to me and definitely eased the pain. You have good sized room, really spacious bathroom, full of sized fridge, dishwasher, etc. Honestly everything you need is here. I did the furnished option and that was definitely one of the smartest decision for sure, knowing I didn't have to buy a mattress, bed frame, drawers, etc, made it so much easier and so much peace of mind. Very glad this was the first apartment I had moved into. :)

I lived here for about a year while taking classes at cscc. Everything was spectacular while I was here and the management team was always so friendly and helpful. They are quick to respond to needs you may have and they made me feel like I belonged here. The events they have every so often don’t go unnoticed either. As a resident, I feel so appreciated by them every time they go out of their way to set something up for us living here.

As of writing this review I will be an incoming resident for the fall but so far the staff and overall leasing experience has been really nice! Everyone is very kind and easy to communicate with about any questions or problems. The only thing I don't particularly like is the AI assistant that comes up when calling or emailing The Abigail. So I prefer getting in contact with them in person, it feels easier that way. But apart from that it has been a good experience!

The first red flag should have been when they charged extra each month to have a window in your bedroom. So if you want to have no egress window in your bedroom, this might be the place for you. The walls are thin so if your neighbors smoke weed, your room will smell like it. The emails sent out are ineffective and my entire time living here, my room smelled like weed. Maintance is generally pretty fast at their job, which is a perk. BUT make sure your room is actually clean upon movein. once you accept your key, they will refuse to clean your room, even if it was disgustingly dirty upon move in. ALSO: beware: there are no closets. All in all: crazy expensive for the lack of ammenities, space, and overall livability.

I've worked with Courtney for several years and have always been impressed by their professionalism, attention to detail, and customer-focused approach. She is Reliable, easy to work with, and genuinely care about delivering quality results. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
