The Abigail, columbus-oh

As of writing this review I will be an incoming resident for the fall but so far the staff and overall leasing experience has been really nice! Everyone is very kind and easy to communicate with about any questions or problems. The only thing I don't particularly like is the AI assistant that comes up when calling or emailing The Abigail. So I prefer getting in contact with them in person, it feels easier that way. But apart from that it has been a good experience!

I lived here for about a year while taking classes at cscc. Everything was spectacular while I was here and the management team was always so friendly and helpful. They are quick to respond to needs you may have and they made me feel like I belonged here. The events they have every so often don’t go unnoticed either. As a resident, I feel so appreciated by them every time they go out of their way to set something up for us living here.

I've lived in the Abigail for almost 3 years now. As these are my last few months I realized how much has gone through my life, yet one thing remained the same, a place to go back to every night. I was freshly 18 when I moved here by myself, I was of course excited, but also had no idea how any of this stuff worked. The staff has always been so accommodating and pays attention to your needs. There was even a time where I fell off a scooter and was walking into the building in pain. The next day I walk into the office with a new water bottle, (which I still have), a pack of liquid iv, and a few other small things. At that moment and even now that had meant so much to me and definitely eased the pain. You have good sized room, really spacious bathroom, full of sized fridge, dishwasher, etc. Honestly everything you need is here. I did the furnished option and that was definitely one of the smartest decision for sure, knowing I didn't have to buy a mattress, bed frame, drawers, etc, made it so much easier and so much peace of mind. Very glad this was the first apartment I had moved into. :)

Went multiple days without any dumpster so trash piled up outside the building, we were expected to just hold on to our trash without knowing when the dumpster would come. We have multiple small dumpsters now but they are emptied infrequently and trash still piles up outside the building. The utility bill has been weeks late twice in a row now, and the latest of which was overcharged to everyone in the building. When I moved in the apartment had not been cleaned and my floor was covered in hair from the previous occupant. None of the sidewalks were ever cleared, shoveled, or salted during any form of snow or ice. Cars constantly get broken into in the parking lot, so be wary if you bring a car. There is always dog poop around the outside of the property and nothing is done about it other than a sign that is clearly ignored, I have to watch my feet when I enter the building to ensure I don't step in it. It may seem inexpensive for the area but the prices raise every year and the management and building have constant issues.

The property manager Courtney is great to work with! Super friendly and on top of everything. Would recommend!
