An appreciable upgrade from the freshman dorms! Individual rooms for each student, and one bathroom per 2 students in the 4 person suites! There are some strange architectural choices, but the furniture and appliances they provide are more than adequate for a temporary dorm lifestyle. I won’t list everything, it’s usually available to read about in one form or another on the CCAD website. It’s also ABOVE the dining hall people. Breakfast is literally one floor below you. It can’t get much more convenient than that. The only genuine thing I don’t highly enjoy is the separation of stairwells from the main lobby of the apartment area of the building. There are two elevators to get upstairs, but in the event of an emergency (specifically a tornado) we would have to take a stairwell all the way down and then reenter through the middle of the building to reach a safe zone. Plus, during high traffic hours, elevators can be a bit of a pain. Most complaints that I hear aside from that vary from person to person based off of the comforts they’re used to at home. For someone just starting out in their adult years, this is a great space with room for you to customize and also enjoy a bit of privacy if needed. (Toilet lids are not a life or death feature
