I have never written a review before—not for a restaurant, hotel, or apartment complex. However, my experience here has been so bad that I feel compelled to warn others. When I first moved in, management attempted to place me in an apartment with filthy carpets, mold on the walls, broken appliances, and a balcony completely covered in trash. After more than two hours of going back and forth with the office, they finally agreed to move me into a different unit that was at least livable. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. My air conditioning recently stopped working while temperatures outside were over 90 degrees, leaving my apartment above 80 degrees indoors. I have called the office multiple times, left voicemails, spoken to staff in person, and repeatedly expressed my concerns. Each time, I received a different answer. One employee told me it would be fixed the next day. Another said it would be addressed after the weekend. Now I’m being told I’ll have to wait yet another week because it “isn’t a priority.” To make matters worse, the woman I spoke with about this issue was rude, dismissive, and visibly annoyed that I was upset about living without air conditioning in extreme heat while also owning a dog. Instead of showing concern, she responded with attitude and made faces throughout the conversation. This isn’t an isolated issue. I’ve had to visit the office multiple times regarding maintenance requests, and every interaction feels like the first time they’ve heard about the problem. There appears to be little to no communication between staff members. It also took several separate requests to get maintenance to address a leak that was flooding the first floor of my apartment. When maintenance finally arrived, they told me that the office staff would “tell residents anything to get them off the phone.” Based on my experience, I believe it. This property has been one frustration after another. The lack of communication, poor maintenance response times, and dismissive attitude toward residents make it clear that management does not prioritize the people who live here. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before signing a lease.

I lived here from September of 2025 to April 2026 Although my experience started off great it soon went sour. I would not recommend to students in the surrounding area. Please listen to the reviews I wish I had ! They do not enforce the rules of tenants. During my time there a tenant was walking around outside with a firearm chasing another tenant. I was awoken to a young lady being slammed against my bedroom window by law enforcement due to being high on some sort of substance, they allow tenants with pets to poop without picking it up all over my walkway and yard area. When informed front office staff brushed it off and said there was not much they could do. To add insult to injury my apartment was broken into even though we are supposed to have security patrolling at night. I’m pretty sure it was taken by their maintenance staff because a 50 inch tv can’t fit out of the living room window and they left through the front door and locked the door back. When notified they were very dismissive and management did not bother to contact me regarding the break in just about a balance that will be sent to collections now. I decided to terminate my lease agreement early and take the hit on my credit because I could not bare to live there a second longer. LEASE AT YOUR OWN RISK !!

I regret ever coming across this place Booked through Airbnb and had some complications. Was left without a place to stay for 5 days. However, that can be blamed on the company managing the airbnb listing and such (vector). What I cannot accept however is the level of filth that this place is in. I was told that they were expecting me a day later (another miscommunication thanks to vector). I asked if it was okay if I checked in anyway as they said all they were waiting on was two mattresses and a couch to be moved, nothing else. They kindly agreed. I regret asking. The place stunk of cigarettes, there were burn marks and stains everywhere, multiple dead roaches, dirt and hair on the staircase and carpets, and the state of the vents was pitiful. I asked if they had cleaned the place and the person I mainly talked to at the leasing office said yes, that they had just cleaned it and that she had actually just come from there. I do not know in what universe this is considered clean. Save yourself the stress and do not book this place, whether through Airbnb, Furnished Finder, or else. I do appreciate the staff’s patience and flexibility with me through this frustrating process as vector truly messed up multiple times and there were multiple miscommunications. However, please get a new person to do the cleaning.

I spoke to Maurice over the phone. He was very knowledgeable and had impeccable customer service. He answered all of my questions and concerns. I genuinely could tell he cares about the property and the residents. So excited to become a resident here!!

I don’t normally speak out like this, but I can’t stay silent today. We were so excited to move our baby girl into her first apartment—she’s a sophomore and had completed her application for The Roost Apartments with anticipation and trust. But what we walked into today was beyond disappointing. That word would be too kind. • Filthy carpet • Holes in the floor • Broken bed • Mattress with stains • Paint spilled on floors and cabinets • Filthy bathroom • Dirty tubs • Dusty vents and registers • Broken AC units • Broken dryer • Broken stair rail • Paint on tile in bathrooms and living room • Back Deck filthy • Registers rusted and filthy • And so much more The Roost knew yesterday was move-in day. This should have been a moment of joy, not frustration. And we’re not alone—many other students and families have similar complaints. I’m speaking up not just for my daughter, but for all the students moving in under these conditions. This is unacceptable, and I’m here to advocate for change. To the management of The Roost Apartments: We demand immediate action—repairs, cleaning, and safe living conditions for every student. Refunds should be granted. Parents, students, and community members—if you have experienced similar issues, speak up. Share your story. Let’s hold them accountable together.
