I lived at Redpoint Columbia for 3 years. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The biggest issue has been the constant feeling that management is looking for ways to take advantage of students financially. I have been hit with random charges throughout my time here that I had to repeatedly fight to get removed. Trying to terminate my lease was an absolute nightmare, and I felt like I was being charged and pushed around every step of the way. Their communication is also terrible. You can call and get one answer, then email and get a completely different answer, and somehow the outcome always seems to work against the resident. The office frequently doesn't answer the phone, and actually getting a straight answer from someone can feel impossible. The pest control situation was another huge problem. Neighbors had roaches, and eventually they started spreading into our house. Instead of actually addressing the problem as a property-wide issue, we were given a pest control company to contact ourselves and told we'd have to pay to have it treated. After living here for years and paying rent, I shouldn't have to pay out of pocket because pests are spreading from neighboring units. The security is also extremely concerning. The supposedly locked gate is frequently left open, which completely defeats the purpose of having a gated community. There have also been serious safety incidents in the surrounding area, including incidents at The Roost and incidents associated with parties at Redpoint. Regardless of where exactly an incident occurs, the overall environment has repeatedly made me question how seriously resident safety is being taken. After 3 years of living here, I have enough experience with this property to say this confidently: I would not recommend Redpoint Columbia to another college student. College students already have enough financial stress without having to constantly watch their backs for questionable charges, inconsistent communication, pest problems, and poor management. My biggest advice to anyone considering signing here: READ EVERY SINGLE THING, DOCUMENT EVERY CONVERSATION, SAVE EVERY EMAIL, TAKE PICTURES, AND GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Do not rely on what someone in the office tells you over the phone. I genuinely regret spending almost my entire college experience here. I would choose somewhere else.

I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone, especially considering it is marketed as student housing but seems to allow just about anyone to live there, with little regard for maintaining a true student-focused community. The low rent may seem appealing at first, but you quickly realize that the quality of the apartments, amenities, and management reflects exactly why the rates are so cheap. Management and office staff rarely seem willing to do their jobs. Communication is terrible, and getting responses to maintenance requests or concerns can be nearly impossible. When issues are reported, they are often ignored or handled with the bare minimum effort. It honestly feels like they would rather paint over a roach on the wall than actually address the infestation problems. Speaking of pests, there is a serious roach and bug problem throughout the property. Residents shouldn't have to constantly deal with insects in their homes, yet management appears uninterested in finding a real solution. Mold concerns are also brushed aside instead of being properly investigated and remediated. Another major issue is that management selectively enforces the lease. Rules seem to apply to some residents but not others, depending on who they are. There is little consistency or fairness when it comes to handling violations and complaints. Security is practically useless. Most of the time they can be found parked somewhere on the property scrolling through their phones rather than actively monitoring the community. They do not appear to be properly trained, and their presence does little to make residents feel safer. Overall, this complex comes across as a business that is more concerned with collecting rent than providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment. If you're looking for quality management, responsive staff, effective security, or a pest-free home, you should look elsewhere.

The literally WORST place I have lived at in Columbia. For the past semester ( Jan-May ), we were still expected to pay full amount of rent, even though we have told them multiple times that we have a roach infestation in our unit. We never had this issue before and are very cleanly roommates in the living space. We tried spraying, bleaching and using roach products to deter them from being in our living space, But they still come. We have told the office multiple times to schedule Pest control to come to our apartment every week, But since January, they have only came twice to our apartment. It is so disappointing that we are still expected to pay full rent, even though we cannot properly cook and use appliances in the kitchen and living room room because of fear of roaches crawling on our food, dishes, couches, etc. I do not recommend living here because they will not accommodate for you and will see it as a YOU problem instead of a problem.

The Management Team is dedicated, hardworking, and truly professional. They put in real effort to make sure residents feel comfortable and at home. This is a big property, and I consistently see them out and about making sure everything is in order. I want to heartily thank every individual who invests their time and energy into keeping this place running smoothly — from the small daily tasks to the bigger responsibilities. Their commitment has been an inspiration to me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — These five stars are for the Management Team.

If you respect yourself don’t live here. Everything is half ass maintained at best. Management may be bad but the residents aren’t much better. Every time I walk my dog there’s a new food someone threw on the ground for him to eat and for me to clean up later! All of the trash cans around the complex, especially the pet waste ones, are ALWAYS full. The trash people that are supposed to pick up my trash every weekday but Friday, come maybe once a week. “Security” likes to hide in random corners instead of securing, which is very obvious considering the amount of news reports coming from this area. Cherry on top is I had to pay a full months rent for August but wasn’t allowed to move in until the 16th. PS: Shoutout to the student employees who have to deal with everyone else complaining when in reality management is taking as much advantage of them as they are the rest of us! Cannot wait for this school year to be over! Oh also watch out for the broken glass everywhere 🫠
