I have lived at the den for the year now and made the mistake of renewing my lease last fall before I knew how terrible the staff was here. Back in January I was trying to get my real ID for travel purposes. To do so, I needed proof of address, such as my lease. I was told that they did not have my lease anymore because they switched companies. This is extremely unprofessional. I had to call and go the office multiple times before my issues got notified to a manager and he was finally able to locate my lease. The employees have no idea what they are doing. Additionally, the renewal process has been extremely frustrating. First, I was told that I was moving out of my current unit and into my new one on the same day, July 31st. Once the date got closer, I called to clarify everything because of how unsure I am of this establishment. My friend going through the same situation also called. We were told two completely different things. I was told that I could stay until the 10th and move into my new one that day. My friend was told that we would have no place to live for 10 days. This caused obvious panic. We had no idea where we were going to put our belongings, especially when I live 4 and a half hours away from home. After calling multiple times, the staff finally figured out the right answer. This causes lots of confusion because my parents are wanting to help me move. How are they supposed to ask off work to drive 4 and a half hours away when the dates keep changing? I lost my final straw today when I came back from being gone all weekend to find MY FRONT DOOR AND BEDROOM DOOR UNLOCKED. From what I know, it was left unlocked all weekend by the cleaners or maintenance staff. Someone could have been hiding out in the other three empty bedrooms, and someone could have stolen all of my belongings, especially my electronics. This is extremely dangerous, especially because l am a 21 year old female living alone. I shouldn’t have to feel unsafe in my own living space because the staff that were not even supposed to be in my room left my whole apartment unlocked for the weekend. I didn't notice anything was missing until I went to wash some of my laundry, and noticed that my Bath and Body Works laundry detergent and dryer sheets were missing, but my regular detergent and laundry beads were still there. This leads me to believe that someone from the cleaning staff stole my laundry detergent because they figured that it was one of my roommates who had already moved out. This type of behavior is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and makes me fear for my upcoming year living here. I should not have to worry about my things being stolen and my apartment being broken into while I am away. I will not be renewing my lease here again and advise everyone to stay away from The Den.

During the winter months, our electricity bills increased by more than $200 per person for several months. When I brought this concern to the front desk, they were not very helpful in addressing the issue. Management has also entered apartments without prior notice and moved residents’ belongings without sending an email or other warning beforehand. Another concern was the handling of wildlife on the property. When bats were found in our hallway, management did not contact animal control, and a couple of the bats died despite residents informing them of the situation. Aside from these issues with management, I have really enjoyed living at The Den. The apartments are great, and the community is fun and welcoming.

Not going to lie, my first year there wasn't the best experience due to poor management at the time. The staff was often rude, and it wasn't a very welcoming environment. However, they brought in new management last year, and the difference has been night and day. The team is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely makes you feel like family. They also host great community events that help residents connect with one another. Based on my experience with the current management, I would definitely recommend staying there.

I have been living at the den for the past year and resigned my lease again for next year! The den has been very helpful when I have presented issues to them! The new gym and pool is a big plus!!

Management is absolutely HORRIBLE and has no idea what they're doing. I was in the process of getting my real ID and needed proof of address. I tried to get a hold of my lease, then they tried to tell me they did not have access to it. I ALSO tried to get my payment ledgers for tax reasons, they also informed me they had NO access to it and to call the higher ups. I did that and they had no idea where to find it. There are a million extra fees that they don't even have reason for. For two months straight I was calling them asking what the fees were and they had no answer and just kept changing the subject. They also have very frequent internet outages that they have no urgency to fix.I am currently on day four of my internet outage here. Maintenance responds quickly and the apartment itself is nice. Other than that I would not recommend this complex at all and advise people to choose a different one.
