I’ve had a great experience at Lookout at Cragmor, especially with the strong team currently in place. The staff is professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in creating a positive living environment. Communication is clear, maintenance requests are handled efficiently, and the property is well maintained. One of the standout amenities is the 24-hour gym on site, which is incredibly convenient for residents with busy or unpredictable schedules. Having around-the-clock access to a clean, well-equipped fitness space is a huge plus. Overall, it’s a great community and a comfortable place to call home.

I am currently in the middle of my third lease at The Lookout and I would not be happier living anywhere else. This review is mainly for the management, as there are some things (like loud cars or music and warping of cabinet doors) that are out of their control. Yet, when the noise is excessive enough to complain about, or a repair needs to be made, the office promptly handles it and the issue is quickly resolved. The building was under different management over a year ago, and I understand the one star reviews as that manager was busy with her life and didn't put much time into making our living experience special. Since the new management took over, the whole morale of the place has improved drastically. They got a new fancy printer available for residents to use, have more free breakfast opportunities each month (hallelujah), and more really fun events in general. They hosted a food drive/dessert bar for one of the other resident's class projects, a chili cook-off, and provided materials for some DIY decorations. At the end of the last semester, the management bought a totalled car, got out golf clubs, a pick-axe, a sledge hammer, and of course, safety gear, and let the residents GO TO TOWN letting out their stress from finals. So much fun! One time they even rented a food truck and threw a block party. I would also like to extend the review to mention the amazing handyman, Rick. He is incredibly friendly, greets me all the time, and he's very sweet to my cat (which the new management has no problem with as I provided a note when I first moved in, and no fees!). Rick is a very nice and hardworking individual who honestly, deserves a pay raise. The walk to campus is easy and safe, which means not having to cross busy intersections. There is also a short walk or drive to a pretty view up on the Bluffs. I've really enjoyed living here and think many others will too. I live on the east side, and it has some great views!

This place is terrible and a scam. I moved in in August because they told me it was a fixed lease and if I didn’t sign I’d loose it , this wasn’t true and only the beginning of false information. If you don’t specify you don’t want premiums they will randomly place you and charge you $30 for each one. If you have roommates that are terrible they won’t do anything I got my mail stolen out of our shared mailbox all year and all my stuff stolen all year. If you need something good luck the office would be closed for days at a time and sometimes they’d let you know but they’d send you an email after they’ve closed for they day that they’d be closed for a week. We didn’t have a building manager for several months no maintenance guy. Maitance would take weeks to complete. I broke my lease early and got charged almost $800 in bullshit damages and repairs… $300 for about 5 touch up paint jobs. They probably did that to the person before me to but they didn’t do anything. I had 24 hours to take pictures of the condition when moving in but I didn’t have access to my room after picking up my keys because they had to reclean the catshit off the carpet not once but twice , AND IT WAD STILL THERE. They had a building manger subbing in that told me I had 30 days to pay the move out balance turns out I didn’t and it goes to collections. Don’t fall for the scams here you will be screwed.

Lovely place to live! Perfect location since it’s in walking distance to campus, no more driving to classes! The staff is amazing and understanding! They host monthly events for residents and are always on top of issues when it comes to maintenance! Parking is easy and cheap, love living here! Definitely recommend. Huge kitchens, wonderful bathrooms and fully furnished!

I lived at The Lookout for 5 years while doing my PhD and watched it go downhill as it changed hands half a dozen times. I will not be renewing for another year. Do not live here. The management truly does not care about its tenants. You are income to them at best and an inconvenience at worst. If they could charge you rent and make you disappear, they would. The avalanche of 1-star reviews over the past few months are well-deserved and telling. The apartments themselves are physically fine. But you will not find a ruder, more dismissive landlord. They do not take the job seriously and genuinely do not care how it impacts you. Today was the last straw: they lost some expensive mail and then claimed it wasn't their responsibility. They accept packages in the leasing office, lose them, and then point to the lease, which states it is not their policy to accept packages in the leasing office so therefore they aren't responsible for them. This conversation took place next to a giant mountain of packages -- in the leasing office, of course. When you point out that this means they are technically breaking their own lease, they threaten to return future packages as punishment: this was right after I watched them tell a delivery guy to put his package in front of a tenant's door, so obviously they know this is an option and were just being a petulant, vengeful child. The truth is, they're disorganized, lazy, don't give a crap about you, and will say anything to duck responsibility for their job. Oh, and one of the packages in the leasing office (where they don't accept them, remember) was to my old roommate, who left this semester because he'd also had enough. They have not forwarded it to him. They tow anything and everything they can, the second they can. I heard they have a deal with a nearby impounder and probably get kickbacks. Do not live here.

Please be honest on your Roommate Matching Form.
Your utilities, electricity and water/sewer, will be set up and ready to go the day you move in. Each apartment will be metered for you actual usage and we'll divide the bills up for each roommate.
With an individual lease, also called by the bedroom lease, you are responsible for your own monthly rent and the regular upkeep of your part of the apartment. Unlike conventional joint leases, you are not responsible for any delinquent amounts owed by your roommates. This means if a roommate moves out early or misses a payment, all other residents are not responsible for making up the difference.
