I do not typically write reviews, but this experience is important enough that I feel it needs to be addressed at a corporate level. I attended a gathering at this property on Saturday. The event itself was beautiful and well organized. However, due to smoke from dry ice, the fire alarm was triggered. While false alarms can happen, how management responds in those moments is critical. As someone with professional experience in property management and leasing, I understand that during emergencies, leadership should remain calm, professional, and solution oriented. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. The property manager entered the situation with an aggressive and unprofessional demeanor, using inappropriate language and speaking disrespectfully to the resident hosting the event. The situation escalated unnecessarily, and the resident became extremely distressed and experienced a medical emergency in her apartment. While I was on the phone with 911 requesting assistance, the property manager refused to open the apartment door for approximately 15 minutes, delaying access for emergency responders. Thankfully, a maintenance team member ultimately opened the door. The resident was found unresponsive on the floor and required emergency medical intervention. This situation could have ended much differently. Professionalism, emotional intelligence, and basic human decency are essential qualities in property management, especially during high-stress situations. I sincerely hope this matter is reviewed internally and addressed appropriately.

If you ignore the other reviews and rent here you get: A lease sent to you within 3 months of move in, which will lock you in for another year. An atypical lease that won't let you move out unless you pay off the rest of the year(s) OR $500 & find someone to take over your lease(s). Inspections, inspections, inspections. You'll get a warning, it's not a request. Zero security outside your room. Even cops won't show if your car is stolen. Appliances? Maybe they work, but if not they aren't getting fixed anytime soon. Maybe after you move out? And if you have any issues at at, call the office! Anytime, day or night, a convincing robot will answer your call. He is a dead end, you will not be transferred. He will not solve your problem.

Absolute worst leasing experience I’ve ever had. Even for college housing, the front office is terrible. Best of luck speaking to a person, 95% of the time you are forced to interact with their AI assistant. When we would get a person, they were completely unable to help us. We had trouble getting auto pay to work on their portal, it kept rejecting the payments. The front desk was not only not able to help, but they forced my son to physically go get a cashier’s check each month to pay the rest. At move out, I flew in with my checkbook to pay off the balance and they refused to accept it - insisting we again get a cashier’s check to mail in. We thoroughly cleaned the room, yet were still charged $150 cleaning fee for leaving a silicon packet in a dresser drawer, a tiny piece of paper on the carpet, a roll of toilet paper and leaving a roll of unused trash bags under the sink. Including the $150 worth of cleaning here. Parents beware, this place is nothing but a pain and will nickel and dime you for everything.

The Lodges of Colorado Springs is hands down one of the worst-managed apartment communities I have ever dealt with. They are constantly behind money, make unauthorized extra charges, and add fees without consent, notice, or explanation. Their billing is a mess. Charges appear randomly, change without warning, and when questioned, management provides no clear answers or documentation. It feels like they are intentionally trying to extract extra money from residents rather than operate transparently or professionally. Customer service is poor, accountability is nonexistent, and residents are left chasing management just to understand why they are being charged. This is not how a legitimate or ethical property should be run.

If you want to live somewere to save money sure this place is good but if you want to live with a leasing office that cares more about sending emails than actually upholding the lease agreement then please live here. Warning they also dont do anything about hate crimes against Christians.
