A little rough. I remember when this place was being built when I was a student 25 years ago. Downstairs amenities are actually really nice. Workout center looks pretty awesome, and the cafeteria was very comfortable. Second floor looks just like an on-campus dorm. My daughter was staying here for a summer camp. They crammed eight girls into a dorm with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. (Oh Lordy!). My daughter had a great time so she didn't really care, but I think the parents cared a little more. Parking garage seemed to have copious parking despite over 300 kids staying there for that week's camp(s). The only thing? You need to forbid F350s from parking at the edges and completely blind if there is an extremely large vehicle blocking the view.

My son lived at Callaway House for one year. After moving out, we received a bill for damages that were not caused by him. The main charge involved a large hole in the wall that we later learned was allegedly caused by his roommate installing a ceiling fan. My son never made any alterations to the apartment — the only wall use on his part involved normal thumbtacks. When we first received the bill, I contacted the office multiple times to speak with management and requested an itemized statement of the charges. I left several messages and never received a return call. The only information we were eventually given verbally was about the hole in the wall, but no documentation, photos, repair invoices, or itemized deductions were ever provided despite our requests. Because management never followed up or attempted to resolve the issue, we believed the matter had either been reviewed or corrected. Instead, six months later, we received a call from a collection agency with no prior communication from the property. What made this experience even more frustrating was what happened when I called after learning the account had been sent to collections. I asked to speak with the manager directly and was told by the front office that she would not speak with me. I was told to either email her or contact the collection agency. After months of trying to communicate and resolve this issue, the manager would not even get on the phone to discuss the matter. That was when I decided to write this review. Good management communicates with residents and families, responds to concerns, and provides proper documentation before sending accounts to collections. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. It honestly makes me wonder how many other families this has happened to. Based on our experience, I would encourage future residents and parents to document everything, request communication in writing, and think twice before leasing at this property. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism we experienced was unacceptable.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this property. The rooms frequently flood, and maintenance staff are constantly entering units to address recurring issues that appear to stem from poor building management. The laundry machines are consistently out of order, often resulting in residents spending over $10 for a single load of laundry. The building has a persistent unpleasant odor, and the humidity levels are uncomfortably high. The air conditioning system frequently stops working, making living conditions even more difficult. Additionally, there is visible mold on the fifth floor and in many individual rooms, which raises serious health and safety concerns. Overall, the lack of proper upkeep and management has created an unacceptable living environment.

Here to warn future residents-if your college students live here, take pictures of everything and video the condition of all furniture, floors, shower, refrigerator, freezer, counters upon moving in. Everything! You will need to do the same when you move out because the likelihood of receiving an itemized bill post move out of nonsensical charges is very high. Think dusting furniture, dirt, pieces of small paper, etc-the unit needs to be in perfect, flawless condition even though that is likely not how you will find it when moving in.
