I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Infinite Chicago deserves one because almost every stage of my lease was mishandled. The problems started before I even moved in. I specifically requested an all-female 4x2 apartment, yet I was assigned to an all-male unit without anyone notifying me beforehand. Instead of taking responsibility for what was clearly their mistake, management told me my only option was to move into a more expensive unit and pay the difference myself. When I explained why that was unreasonable, the manager I spoke with was incredibly rude, dismissive, and even threatened to cancel my lease. I was relocating from another state to Chicago for school with only days left before move-in, and rather than helping, they added unnecessary stress to an already overwhelming transition. Communication throughout the entire process was equally frustrating. I spent weeks calling and emailing because I wasn't receiving updates, only to find out they had entered my name incorrectly in their system. I had also flown to Chicago months earlier hoping to tour the property before signing, only to be turned away. Looking back, that should have been enough to tell me how this building operates. Unfortunately, moving in did not improve anything. After returning from winter break, I came back to an apartment that looked like it had been abandoned. The common areas were filthy, cluttered with belongings left behind by former roommates, and clearly had not been professionally cleaned despite management saying the apartment would be cleaned and despite cleaning fees being charged. Even more concerning, I found my apartment door unlocked. Former roommates had supposedly turned in their keys, no new roommates had officially moved in, and I had been away for a month. I asked management to investigate who had accessed the apartment because this was a legitimate security concern, but once again, there was little urgency or accountability. That became the theme of my entire experience. Every issue required repeated follow-ups and every mistake somehow became the resident's problem instead of management's responsibility. For a building that markets itself as premium student housing, I expected organization, professionalism, and basic respect for residents. Instead, I dealt with poor communication, careless administrative mistakes, rude management, cleanliness issues, and security concerns that were never handled appropriately. Moving to a new city for school is stressful enough. Your housing should make that transition easier, not become another problem to solve. The manager was, without question, one of the most unprofessional people I dealt with throughout this experience. Rather than listening or trying to resolve legitimate concerns, she spoke down to me, dismissed the issues I raised, and treated me as though I was inconveniencing her by expecting management to correct their own mistakes. The attitude from the front office was just as disappointing. I remember asking Abraar a straightforward question, and her immediate reaction was an annoyed expression that made me feel unwelcome. The one exception was Ava, who was consistently kind, patient, and genuinely helpful every time I interacted with her. I genuinely regret signing here, and if you're considering Infinite Chicago, I strongly encourage you to explore other options before committing. I will be forwarding these concerns directly to the Regional Manager, John Tokars.

Wonderful stay — the apartment was spotless, comfortable, and felt like home right away. Moving in for the summer was a breeze, thanks to Ava & Kyanna, our leasing agents, who were always friendly, quick to respond, and went above and beyond to help. They made everything simple and worry-free!

Today I had a very bad experience with the front desk staff in this building, specifically with one person. I understand that people can have bad days, but that does not justify treating others poorly. There are always respectful and professional ways to communicate with residents. Today, I was returning to my apartment after a run when the front desk staff asked for my apartment number because I had several packages to pick up. With a rude attitude, she told me to pick them up right now. I politely told her I would go upstairs, grab my ID, and come back down to collect them, but she insisted that it didn’t matter and that I had to take them immediately. While checking for my packages, she kept making comments like, “I don’t know what you think, but this is not your storage space. We don’t have room for your packages.” It’s important to mention that the packages had only been there for one day. As she handed them to me , she said that if I couldn’t carry them, I could leave them there, but that it wouldn’t be her problem if anything got lost and that I shouldn’t blame her later , yet at the same time, she insisted I had to take them all. Her behavior was extremely rude and unkind. I didn’t respond; I just started crying because I felt humiliated, especially since I had already had a difficult day. Thankfully, another resident helped me take the packages upstairs. It’s very disappointing that instead of being helpful, staff can act this way. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. I hope management takes this seriously and evaluates their staff more carefully. Also, the process for picking up packages or allowing non-residents into the building is unnecessarily complicated.

I had a great experience speaking with Ava while inquiring about the apartment building. She was very welcoming from the start and made the whole process feel comfortable and easy. Ava communicated clearly over the phone, answered all my questions, and was very professional throughout. It really made a positive impression and reflects well on the property.

I recently just toured the complex and we had the pleasure of meeting Ava. She was absolutely amazing during our apartment tour! She was so sweet, kind, and welcoming from the start. She did a great job introducing us to the building and even shared fun history facts, which made the tour feel more personal and engaging. Ava answered every question we had about layouts, pricing, and roommate situations with so much knowledge and clarity. She was incredibly informative, supportive, and genuinely happy to help us with anything we needed. Such a great experience thanks to her! Apart from that, the building itself is amazing and beautifully renovated. Security is tight, and the amenities included are great as well. It’s definitely a wonderful place to create a cozy home in!
