Hubbard Place, chicago-il

We have lived here for 6 months. We picked this building two years prior after looking at other buildings in the neighborhood, this was by far the most friendly staff, high end facilities and modern units we had seen. We love the neighborhood, it has an abundance of great restaurants, bars and is an easy walk to the river and the loop. Everything about Hubbard Place is amazing but it is the staff that truly make it special. Looking forward to many years here enjoying the views of the city, Chicago River and all those Amtrak trains coming and going!!!

I have lived at Hubbard Place for 15 mos in a one bedroom unit in the 03 tier and look forward to moving out this summer. I have lived in several luxury high rise buildings in Chicago. Here is my honest review: Pros: • my unit faces east and the views are stunning • the staff (not management) are awesome • great package room • i really like the floorplan / layout of 03 units Cons: • the building claims to have a four pipe system (access to both heat and cool air all year round) which is very deceptive as you wont have access to cool air if outdoor temps are below 55 degrees (aka most of the year in chicago) • the building flooded in mid-december • super long elevator wait times • low water pressure • black mold in shower grout • management will not help you resolve any issues, are patronizing, and dont care overall, I think the rent prices are highly inflated for an experience that is severely lacking for a “luxury” building.

We're still relatively new to the building but all of the staff, especially Marqui in the leasing office, have made it a really comfortable place to live. There were a couple of minor maintenance requests that we had to submit at the beginning, and the maintenance team is top-notch. The front desk is very professional and the woman in the package room (blanking on her name) is extremely kind and helpful. Overall it's been a great experience

We got new ownership a year ago and since then everything's falling apart and repairs take a long time. One elevator has been out since last October. We had two floods and that's great havoc. The building property is pretty and the maintenance team does a great job. I would not say this is a luxury rental apartment building.

Great location. Everyone in the building is very friendly. I don’t have a dog right now but as a bonus of living here, I get my dog fix on almost every elevator ride! Front desk staff and maintenance crews are very friendly as well. And although I’ve only lived here since February, it feels like home. Highly recommend…
