THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. The package room is horrible, they do nothing if packages get stolen, they leave your packages all over the building (images attached), there’s mold all in the “newly” renovated apartments bathrooms, and everything is left unlocked so anyone can walk in the building. They are so not accommodating, and do nothing of what they originally told us in the welcome letter and they do not care. Do not live here.

The place is nice and new but when things are broken or you have a leaking ceiling ( happened twice) as did not get fixed the first time, takes a while to get things fixed. Apparently a leaking pipe caused “waste” smell in the apartment also. For the price you pay, repairs should be prompt and also the hallways should be cleaner. Staff seems friendly. Do not have high expectations just because of the price. If the price does not bother you, guess it is ok. Thanks.

I highly DISCOURAGE living here. If you have a choice, live somewhere else. Our dishwasher has been broken for more than six months and they've failed to do anything about it til this day (even with a maintenance request). During this COLD winter, only OUR apartment's water kept on shutting off and on, and so we had no warm water in our apartment for about a week. They didn't give us access to another apartment until 48 hours into the week and it didn't get fully fixed for about two weeks. We had to wash our dishes in freezing cold water because there was no dishwasher and no warm water. Imagine that, during a 15 degree winter. There are so many hidden fees as well. If you think your rent is a solid price, don't be fooled because it's most likely $200-300 more than you think. The electricity bill ended up being $600 for the entire apartment. For an APARTMENT, that is absurd. Entire houses don't even pay that much, you will get scammed. Parking is a joke. You pay $100 a month for parking and end up parking on the rooftop in a snowstorm. People without parking passes have 100% access into our garage and they haven't towed those cars for the eight months I've been living here. Packages get lost and there is a terrible fruit fly issue.

We just completed a lease for my daughter and the staff at the Grandmarc was so patient and helpful. Lexie was incredible and took multiple calls from me and was always so polite and supportive. Very excited for my daughter's upcoming year living in the Grandmarc!

AVOID THIS PLACE! I have been living here for a few years now, and it has been a terrible experience overall. From, the filth of the trash chute, to the car break-ins that occur in the garage, and the shady characters that hang out smoking in the garage staircase, it has been a nightmare living here. Packages in this building constantly get stolen, and the condition of the apartments during move-in is questionable at best. You realize after moving in that you have received the "landlord special", paint stains all over the vinyl floors, loose fittings, windows that won't open, blocked pipes, dirt, debris, and metal shavings everywhere. Furthermore, they decided to renovate in the middle of my lease, where they forced me to empty my bathroom and kitchen from Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM. During this time, I had essentially no privacy as contractors open my door at 9AM and continue to do loud work until 6PM. Though a clause in their lease states that: " You acknowledges that the construction/renovation may cause noise, dust, and minor disturbances to the egress/ingress on or about the community and minor disturbances to the quiet and enjoyment of the apartment home." But is that really a minor disturbance when I need to pack all my things up? To make things worse, I received NO ABATEMENT nor any form of relief. Maintenance always seems to never complete work on time, or at all and requires frequent reminders to management that work has not been completed. My dryer was out for 2 months, and after 3 maintenance requests, it was finally fixed (no abatement received). They also have the right to enter your unit at any time. I have encountered multiple times where my door was opened in the middle of the day, and maintenance entered my unit without giving prior notice. The garage's bottom 2 floors have been rented out with Parkmobil spots everywhere. This means that numerous parking spots were instead prioritized for hourly parking instead of resident parking. During the snowstorm, there were not enough parking spots as they did not shovel the roof, and many residents were left without a spot even after paying their $100/month parking fee. With the garage gate having been broken for about a year now, many people without resident parking tags drive past the gate and take up resident parking spots. The tight spots also mean that your car is likely to get door-dinged, and double parkers run rampant. Furthermore, I constantly see broken windows from cars being broken into. Their garage cameras are not functional so the police cannot do anything to help. The fact that the bottom floors are hourly parking spots creates a safety issue where many nonresidents can simply walk around the complex, and enter the doors considering that contractors always leave the doors ajar. The filth: the trash compactor never seems to work, so management expects us to dispose of our garbage at the dumpsters, but this as rarely followed as most residents appear to just dispose of the trash out by the garage. When the trash compactor is working, most residents just throw their garbage inside the garbage room, making it unwalkable and creates a cycle where more and more trash is piled up in the garbage room. The hallways always seem to have trash, dirt and stains built up on the floors, while the elevators are also dirty and nonfunctional in multiple instances for weeks.
