Yo, this place lowkey sucks. I pay over $1,000 a month, and somehow the power goes out for basically a full day every couple of weeks, the Wi-Fi is completely unpredictable, and we’ve had malfunctioning fire alarms blasting at like 7 in the morning before work. At this point, none of that even surprises me anymore. The hallways are covered in stains, valet trash only seems to work when it feels like it, and management has never seemed to care much about the issues residents actually bring up. The biggest problem, though, was having staff/maintenance come into my bedroom early in the morning. That was honestly wild. Nobody should have to worry about waking up to a stranger standing in their room. It was incredibly invasive and completely changed how comfortable I felt living here. For what this place charges, these shouldn’t be recurring issues. If this were any other legitimate apartment complex, most of this would be unacceptable. I’ll be subleasing as soon as I can. The pool is nice, though. Genuinely the best part of living here.

I had a very disappointing experience living here. I was only here for a little over the summer because I was working in the area, but I have lived in multiple student housing communities before, including two years in student apartments at my college and other properties under the same management. I have never been assessed damage charges at any of those properties, which makes this experience especially disappointing. From the time I moved in, the apartment already had visible damage, including chipped cabinets and stained carpet. Unfortunately, the move-in inspection form was not working, so I went to the front office to let them know. I was simply told to save my pictures because the form wasn’t working. I relied on that advice and took photos throughout my stay documenting the condition of the apartment. The property also frequently smelled like marijuana, which made the living environment unpleasant. When I tried to speak with management about my concerns, the front desk employee was dismissive and unprofessional. I was told that management was “walking around.” I said I was happy to wait, but I was still repeatedly dismissed instead of being allowed to speak with someone. Eventually, the General Manager came out, but instead of addressing my concerns, I felt blamed for a situation involving another resident’s belongings that had been left outside my door for months. I was told I should have contacted someone I had never met or thrown away another person’s property. I was not comfortable touching or disposing of someone else’s belongings, especially since they did not belong to me. I still don’t understand why the resident who left the property behind was apparently not charged, yet I am being held responsible. During my stay, I only used the common area refrigerator and microwave. Despite that, I was charged for cleaning the common areas, paint, carpet, and damages that existed before I moved in. I also know the common areas had already been cleaned and my roommates had been charged for cleaning before I even arrived, so it makes no sense to charge me for those same areas. My lease was by the bedroom, yet I was still billed for common-area cleaning charges that I do not believe I am responsible for. Overall, the move-out process has felt unfair, and I have had to dispute multiple charges that I do not believe I owe. To make matters worse, after sending us a dispute form, the system would not even allow me to upload the photos documenting the pre-existing damage. I have also been told that disputes cannot be submitted by email, discussed in person, or handled over the phone. This has left me with no effective way to provide the evidence I was specifically told to keep when the move-in form was not working. I strongly encourage anyone considering living here to document every inch of their apartment with photos and videos at move-in and to keep those records throughout their stay. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this property.

Not the best apartment. Wifi is terrible, power goes out longer than it should, fire alarm would set off too frequently. It’s not the worst, but it definitely doesn’t deserve its high rating. Charges are insane! Base rent was 950 and ended up paying about 1200 each month. Just trying to be transparent 🤷♀️ I hade ‘pool-view fees’ and ‘master’ bedroom fees, wasn’t by choice, and being by the pool when people blare music at 7pm is not what an extra charge should be for. They talked about hallway carpet cleaning during the first 2 months of everyone moving in… it never happened. The time at which they want to announce maintenance schedules and whatever is soooo inconvenient. *Especially closer to move out, as someone has said perfectly in another review, it made me feel very uncomfortable in my own space. And truly the wifi is terribleee😭 and goes out/off very often and tends to last forever!! I’m only making this review because the only bad things i saw when moving in was about pests and i never got that issue. i did not know about these other things, so just trying to warn others lol. Leasing office and management are generally helpful, although I’m currently trying to figure something with them and they haven’t responded to me even though their office should’ve been open earlier today.

It’s a great spot based on location and accessibility. However, management could def be better based on communication. Don’t recommend 5x5 unless you know your roommates and can agree on temp settings cus bill can def surge.

I have finally moved out of this place for good and I have never been more relieved. This place is a roach motel where my roommates and I saw a roach every single night in our apartment even though we were all clean people. Management is never available and is always conveniently “in meetings” whenever we had a question. Renovations were done without our consent during finals, which stressed us all out, and they never specified which days renovations would be done in a timely manner. When renovations were in place, they left our items strewn around and were a fire hazard. We could not use the bathrooms in our apartment for 24 hrs when renovations were happening. My roommates car was also broken into and Rush refused to give my roommate the video evidence until she threatened to get the authorities involved. My other roommate had her car stolen from Rush as well, highlighting the lack of security measures in place. I had such a bad experience that I asked to break my lease and move out early to which Rush said no, I would have to find someone to sublease, even when my parents and I offered to pay 1-2 months rent. So please keep this in mind if you are trying to break your lease at Rush. They also charged us ridiculous move-out fees for damages that were there prior, so make sure to record everything when you move in and document it. I hope this place gets condemned for good for not meeting building and safety codes. Please find off-campus housing through a private landlord, or another complex because the 3 minute walk to campus is not worth the hassle that Rush has given my roommates and I.
