I genuinely cannot overstate how miserable my experience at 400 Meeting was. If it weren’t for my roommates and the friends I made in the building, I would have done everything possible to move out early. Management consistently came across as dismissive, unprofessional, and at times outright hostile whenever I raised legitimate concerns. Whether it was security issues, misplaced belongings, or other resident concerns, I felt like my complaints were ignored rather than addressed. Instead of feeling supported, I often felt like I was an inconvenience for expecting basic accountability. Parking was another constant source of frustration. Enforcement was inconsistent and poorly managed, creating unnecessary stress for residents who paid to live there. It seemed like there was little effort to ensure parking policies were applied fairly or effectively. To make matters worse, living at 400 Meeting felt like a constant money grab. Between the high cost of living and the various fees, it rarely felt like residents were receiving value for what they were paying. Considering the poor management and recurring issues, I simply cannot recommend living here. There are far better options in Charleston where your money and your concerns will be treated with far more respect.

I’ve really loved living at 400 Meeting. The location is super convenient, especially if you’re a student, everything downtown is close and easy to get to. The apartments are nice and have good natural light, and the amenities are actually useful (not just for show). The staff is also really helpful and quick to respond, which makes a big difference. Overall it’s just been a really solid place to live.

Excellent experience. I won a sound machine a while back and Zack the maintenance man here saw the box while doing other work in our unit and offered to set the machine up if I placed a maintenance request for it. This anecdote shows how much the team here at 400 Meeting and Zack in particular go above and beyond in making the resident experience strong!

My student has had continued troubles at this location. They have had to explain video surveillance camera angles to staff multiple times when confronted with roomates falsly accusing them of inappropriate behaviour. Mail room situation also not good. Besides stolen items from move in, my student needed a replacement phone. It was delivered, but not the right name, so instead of checking, they just sent it back via UPS. Very fustrating...

The leasing manager was exceptional, and I love the fact that we can go to our favorite coffee shop blum coffee, just literally in five eleven meeting street.So it's a five minute walk for us. Great location in downtown couldn't be happier
