Chloe and McKenzie are the best, love living here so far, the customer service is on point and these girls are able to help me with any questions about my apartment or the amenities. Maintenance is reliable and quick. Fixed my bathroom and heat when we experienced issues, immediately. So happy I chose this place!

Jae Yoon delivers exceptional service every single time. From the moment you walk in, his attention to detail and genuine care for guests stand out. He’s consistently professional, fast, and courteous — but what really sets him apart is his attitude. No matter how busy the shift gets, Jae always manages to stay upbeat and focused, making sure every customer leaves satisfied. His work ethic and positive energy make a noticeable difference in the overall atmosphere at Union. It’s rare to find someone who combines efficiency with that level of personal warmth, but Jae pulls it off naturally. He represents Union with excellence and professionalism — a real example of what great service looks like.

Great amenities and location. However I’m very skeptical of the utilities I was charged during my stay there. I lived in a 3b3b but I was paying the same utilities during the semester and over the summer when both of my roommates were not there (they haven’t officially moved out so us three were still splitting the utilities). I was paying $100/month for utilities myself, so basically $300/month utilities for the unit. asked maintenance to check if there’s any leakage or errors but was told there were none. This is really high for our area so y’all be aware of the utilities here. Their shuttle bus is not rly on time and always full in the morning. It will be running late when you actually need it to go somewhere on time.

I’ve lived at Union Chapel Hill for a bit now, and overall my experience has been pretty good. It’s definitely not terrible, but I do think it’s a little overhyped. The price is honestly kind of high for what you get, especially since there are cheaper options that are closer to campus. One thing I will say is that maintenance has been great. Anytime I had issues with my dryer or dishwasher, they fixed it pretty quickly, which I really appreciated. The staff in general were fine, nothing amazing but nothing awful either. I will say though, Chloe, the manager, came off kind of condescending when I had an issue with my kitchen, which was frustrating. The apartment itself was fine, but not perfect. When I moved in, there was already some damage, which wasn’t a great first impression. Also, the walls are super thin, so you can hear a lot of what’s going on around you, which can get annoying pretty fast. The shuttle is probably one of the most annoying parts. Sometimes it just wouldn’t run for days, which is super unreliable when you’re trying to get to class. There is a bus stop right outside Union, which helps a lot, but the shuttle would sometimes take you closer to where you actually need to go, so it’s disappointing when it’s not working. There are a lot of nice amenities like the pool, but it gets really overcrowded because people bring friends all the time, and Union doesn’t really enforce their own rules about that. It makes it hard to actually enjoy the space. Also, having guests over is kind of a hassle because there’s basically no parking unless you reserve guest parking ahead of time, and if you don’t, your friend risks getting towed. One thing that bothered me was seeing cockroaches around. I personally have only had to deal with a couple, but they are definitely there, which isn’t great. Also, a lot of the super positive reviews seem kind of suspicious and feel like they might be written by employees or people connected to them just to boost ratings. That said, living here has been fine overall, just not as amazing as it’s made out to be.

Its only been a few months now but I must say I’m really happy. Not too sure what there is to complain about at Union, they made promises and so far have delivered. But ill update this review if that changes… The important thing before deciding where to move is to ask the right questions, and the staff are extremely helpful. Like some of the other reviewers, I was lucky enough to have Michelle Maloch help me out with everything. She answered my questions straight up, and didn’t hide anything. Its important to know both the good and the bad, though there really isn’t much bad to talk about. Either way, its nice to have someone you can trust. Shoutout to Michelle and the rest of the staff, and thanks again for all the bread!!!
