I signed a lease with Legacy 202 back in April for a 4x4 unit at $1,025/month, thinking I was getting a fair rate. However, I recently discovered that the exact same unit is now listed at $900/month — a $125/month ($1500 total a year) difference — and I haven't even moved in yet. I reached out to the leasing office to request a price adjustment before move-in, but was told that they could not honor the new rate because I signed before the promotion started. I understand contracts, but it's frustrating to be locked into a much higher price while identical units are now being advertised publicly for significantly less. I still hope they will handle this situation fairly, especially since the lease hasn't begun and many units remain vacant. I’m posting this to share my experience with others who are considering renting here — it might be better to wait, as prices seem to drop significantly closer to the move-in date.

I'm a former resident here. If you're considering renting, here are some experiences you should know about. Pros: Green Street is within walking distance, and the apartment appliances are relatively new. Furnitures are just basic. Cons: Each apartment has digital locks that seem convenient initially, but they're prone to malfunctions. I was locked out twice and had to get a hotel room on Green Street with my pet, with no one answering the emergency number. (This may have been fixed since I reported it—you're welcome.) After the second lockout, they finally installed an app giving me admin access to reset the key myself, which they should have done from the start. Security is a major issue. I lived on the first floor, and one of the community's back doors couldn't be locked properly. Anyone could enter and steal packages. One night at 2 a.m., random people came through that gate, running through the hallways screaming and playing. I ended up installing my own security camera. Don't expect an on-site parking spot—they're extremely limited. You might be transferred to their sister property across the street, where the spots are incredibly small, yet you pay the same rate. On the bright side, my parking skills improved dramatically. Electric bills are vague and seems to be charged randomly. The neighborhood is quite noisy. You are basically surrounded by fraternities and soronities. It's been three months since I moved out, and I still haven't received my security deposit refund. Bottom Line: not a good choice compared to other apartments in the same price range.

Please be careful when you sign the lease with them. After I signed the lease and realized that the lease starts from 8/22/2025-7/31/2026 and I would be charged for 12 months. I asked them if they can add an addendum to pro rate the lease or move in earlier and they told me NO. I can’t break the lease because the agreement doesn’t let me do it so now I am stuck. And to respond to your reply, what you replied has nothing to do with charging me a whole month of rent when the tenant is gonna only stay there for 9 days in August. Having a student living apartment doesn’t mean you can take advantage of the student tenants/abuse the system for charging more

I just had a tour with Matthew and it was great! Really friendly guy and covered everything you’d need to know about the apartment. Definitely made me want to sign here and left a good impression. I’d recommend checking the place out.

Very disappointed with the management. I’ve been overcharged multiple times despite having a signed lease with clear terms. This month I was also billed for high electricity use, even though I haven’t been using the A/C — it’s been broken for a while — and I’ve barely been in the apartment. It’s not the first time this has happened, and with my lease ending soon, I expected better treatment. This situation is unfair and still unresolved. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.
