Moved in around 1.5 months ago. It’s been a nice experience so far! Love this place. It is one of the newest buildings and nicest facilities you can find at MIT. People here are nice and helpful. 😄 I especially love the gym on the ground floor. It’s so nice and handy to just put on the gym clothes and then you arrive in 2 mins without exiting the building!

LOL do NOT live here. I would've given 0 star if possible. 1. The window is too thin so that ALL the noise from the outside road comes directly to your eardrum, and construction will be happening everywhere and everyday. 2. I moved out a few months ago, and suddenly they send you an email saying you have a pending charge, no explanation, no invoice nothing. Apparently, their cheap construction materials will break during your normal usage, and they will charge you for the repairs. The room was fine when I left, and they listed 5-6 repair items to rip you off. Why is this even a campus housing? Price is not that cheap, housing is not great, and they charge departing students and postdocs to squeeze money out.

I have my package room in another building, why? Whose idea is this? Of course, no one cares if you cannot find you package. The walls are too thin I can hear my roommate speak, snore, use the bathroom, everything. You have an oven, but every time you turn it on the circuit breaker will trip, so I could never use it. Please DO NOT live here.

The absolute worst place I have lived on campus in my four years. I regret not living in MIT housing. Sure, great facility, new building, reasonable prices (except they’re raising them next year). They do not tell you about the constant fire alarms that go off. There were two today that were triggered by dust, and they claim that it’s not a “false alarm” and it’s “functioning as expected.” Dust is the most common cause of false alarms so why are you spreading misinformation… There was also a (real) fire alarm yesterday, set off by the building’s own heater. But for a facility built in 2024, you’d think the safety compliance and protocols in MA, on campus, for hundreds of residents, would not allow you to build a faulty heater that filled the entire stairwell of 10 floors with thick pungent smoke. Other dorms on campus get triggered by students burning popcorn, but yours? The heater you built. You endanger the lives of hundreds of residents. We haven’t even started with the false alarms that happen within the unit. One morning last month, for four hours involving multiple staff, the six alarms in our unit would not stop going off no matter how many times you replace the batteries or alarms. There was no danger present. Last week, we found out it was due to a faulty wiring. Please take responsibility for the harm (mental distress) of your residents instead of sending these emails empty emails with false information. We understand it’s your first year in operation and things happen, but never have I ever experienced such a horrible time living in an on-campus building. And you’re raising prices? I will never live here again, and would recommend against it for anyone interested in moving in.

Friendly staff and nice facilities. Downside is that all packages are delivered to W78, so if you live in W88, you have to walk outside to the next building. Can’t imagine how that looks like during the freezing winter.
