I’ve lived in two apartments at Cooper Beech Bowling Green, and I have nothing but respect for the team there. Whenever I had an issue, which was maybe three times out of the two years I lived there, maintenance was always there with a smile on their face to fix it. The only non-maintenance issues I had were with my first unit. My bedroom was clean, but when you move in, people may already be living there and not care for a space like you do. So, bring a mop to clean shared spaces. 😂 However, my one-bedroom apartment the only issue I had, and it was with the fridge. It did overfreeze a few times, and maintenance came and defrosted it, but it did it again. So, they just replaced the fridge with a brand new one. I appreciated that fridge. I would have renewed my lease if I were staying in bowling green. Thank you copper beech. 😊

Great place to live until the move-out process. I have contacted management many times explaining that my final move-out statement has photos from my roommate’s room and not my own. They have responded but blatantly ignored that fact and instead removed some smaller charges from the statement assuming that I would be pleased with that resolution rather than correcting their mistake. I would even gladly pay the $90 for a carpet cleaning and $70 bathroom cleaning fees if they were actually from my room, but rather I’ve been issued new a statement with some charges removed and no acknowledgment of the fact that the photos in the statement are not from my bedroom and bathroom. In the photos I’ve added a picture of my room and the ones they put in the statement. Not even the carpet matches, the fact that I had one window (which was also on the left side of the room and not the right), or the bathroom not even being visible in my photo since it’s on the right. Edit: After many emails, they did end up removing the charges so I changed the rating to reflect my overall experience at Copper Beech. Just be warned that this can happen and ti be sure you take photos during your move-in inspection AND when you move out.

It's has been 9 months since I lived here but I feel like it should be noted the pros and cons and experiences I've had to make your opinion on living here: Pros: Great living space, privacy, large rooms and closets all for a reasonable cost in addition the leniency on late payments compared to other apartments. Community areas are also great Cons: If you have a worn out apartment, repairs are horrible and cheaply done, and will refuse to replace when needed and will re-use until it's impossible. Our hard floor and chairs were in need of replacements, and it barely lasted a week before everything was peeling or breaking. LARGEST CON: Another issue is the lack of communication and the ability to work with the Office. We had an issue where we were overcharged by hundreds of dollars on our water bill, and they continued to say they weren't at fault and I had to pay unless I wanted to be charged late fees. I pay it, and spent 3 months talking back and forth with BG Water, The main office, and conservice, all claiming it's not their responsibility for the overcharge, with the main office not caring in the slightest to help while it is their main accounts. I was only able to get aid after reaching out to the COO of Conservice and threatening to bring in lawyers. Overall would be rated higher if I didnt have this experience, and hope you ensure you watch your Utilities costs and don't have the same issue as I did.

The one thing I enjoyed about this place was the private bathroom in the bedrooms. It was a really nice size to have and it actually felt like I had the space to live. With that said the management you will meeting are some of the most unprofessional people you will meet. I would like to preference this by saying I only subleased for the summer to live at Copper Beach. Which was a difficult process to even get started. On the day I was set to move in I had the chance to meeting the Manager of the complex. My lease start was May 16th. I had received an email and text from the AI system to confirm that date. I go to the office to ask for my keys. The manager comes out in basketball shorts, very unprofessional, he proceeded to tell me my room wasn't ready and that I was supposed to actually move in the next day. I explained to him that I had been given confirmation by their system that it was today. He told me he had no idea why I received that confirmation date. But promised they could figure something out. We go to get my keys, which to office had missplaced. He tried to tell me the girl I was subleasing from never returned them. They told me to try calling her. He tried to tell me they had tried already to call her already and in the same sentence said she was scheduled to move out the day before. So I had to do their job to see if she could bring the keys back. The girl I subleased from gave me a timestamp and date for her keys being turned in. The manager seemed confused by this and told me he would have to call the person on shift that time to find my keys. Turns out they put them away to replace the lock on the door to a correct one. They had the keys for 2 weeks to do this and waited until I was actively moving in to fix the lock. He tried to throw an employee and former tenant under the bus before taking responsibility for that situation. For two of the months I lived there both the girl I took the room from and I were charged rent for the same apartment that only one of us lived in. It took weeks of fighting for either of us to see the extra rent paid back to us. Don't even think you are going to talk to an actual person. Even if you call during business hours you will still get the AI system who will take a name and message. Which may get a human response in the next 48 hours. I typically had to call for the same issue twice before a person helped me.

If you’re looking for a non-biased review, here you are: I lived in copper beech for two years and had minimal problems. However, its star rating is exactly how this place is, a 3/5. It claims to be a community but the majority of tenants are working class people. This is fine, and I honestly enjoyed the quiet. But for most students, you would want a more welcoming community. Temperature in the units are incredibly inconsistent. The people on the top floor are constantly hot and the people on the bottom floor are constantly cold. The temperature difference in the colder months was legitimately a 20-30 degree difference. The maintenance team was GREAT and was on top of work orders. Respectful every-time they came and quick. Rent was cheap my first year, but jumped significantly the second year. The utilities were oddly expensive (sometimes electric being $400 between four people in the winter). At the beginning of my lease, the manager told me in person that we wouldn’t have to patch the holes that we made for TV stands, frames, etc. Found out at the end of my lease that wasn’t true with a change of management. Still patched it but it was unnecessary money spent. I guess what do you expect from a corporate company. The extra amenities are there for marketing. The volleyball court is terrible. I never saw people use it in the 2 years I was there. The gym had broken equipment and I notified the staff several times, but nothing ever happened, and the washer and dryer in the units were unbearably small. Lots of negative in this review, but the space and privacy the units gave each tenant was worth it. If you want an honest opinion, don’t move here. However, I cannot say I had a horrible experience.
